The NFL's most dangerous quarterback/wide receiver combos
A quality quarterback can make any receiver look good, and a quality receiver can make a quarterback look good. They are inherently entangled, so let's take a look at the five most dangerous combinations heading into this NFL season.
Aaron Rodgers/Davante Adams
We can't make this list without discussing the best quarterback in the league and his No. 1 target. Adams has had a lot of problems with drops, but he is athletic, has been with Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers for years now and will always be a threat at the most important times. Rodgers/Adams is that combination that could result in some pretty awesome days for fantasy players and bettors a few times per season.Deshaun Watson/DeAndre Hopkins
According to the programmers and creators over at EA Sports' Madden 2019, DeAndre Hopkins is the best wide receiver in the league. It's hard to argue with their analysis. Watson is an outstanding young quarterback, and even though these two players never played at Clemson together, watching them feels like there is definitely more history than they've accrued so far with the Houston Texans.Matt Ryan/Julio Jones
Before Hopkins got assigned the top spot at the position, Jones was considered to be the best wide receiver in the league, and he might still be. Ryan has been one of the top five quarterbacks in the league for the last six years with the Atlanta Falcons. These two are guaranteed to be a headache for defenses and will force coordinators to scheme to stop Jones. All the scheming in the world still might not be enough to stop that long bomb over the top to Jones.Drew Brees/Michael Thomas
It felt like every time I bet against the New Orleans Saints in 2018 and I needed them to get stopped, Brees threw the ball to Thomas. Thomas has all the skills, and Brees is one of the most intelligent quarterbacks in the league. These two connect at just the right (or wrong) time, all the time.Phillip Rivers/Keenan Allen
A savvy veteran quarterback and a wide receiver who is healthy and in the prime of his career. Rivers targeted Allen over 25% of the time last year and can be expected to do the same this year. We're six weeks away from Week 1 of the NFL season, but there are plenty of future wagers to ponder on BetAmerica.
