The best Jimmy Garoppolo passing props for Super Bowl LIV
The San Francisco 49ers have relied heavily on the run game in these playoffs, essentially taking the ball out of quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo’s hands.
Could that change for Super Bowl LIV against the slightly favored Kansas City Chiefs? Or will the 49ers go with more of a balanced approach to their offense, allowing Garoppolo to throw more? BetAmerica is letting you weigh in with a series of tantalizing passing props. Let's take a closer look at the wagers available.
The 49ers also haven’t needed him to pass the ball.

Jimmy Garoppolo passing yards – O/U 240.5 yards
On the surface, it's tempting to hammer the Under. I mean, come on, Garoppolo threw for 77 yards in the NFC Championship game, and he has thrown for a grand total of 208 yards in the two previous playoff games combined. The 49ers also haven’t needed him to pass the ball.

They wore down the Green Bay defense with the run game, built up a big lead, and the game script didn’t need Garoppolo to play anything beyond a supporting role. He just had to take the snap cleanly and hand off to the running back without any issues.
The Tennessee Titans had a great run game, too. But when the AFC Championship game quickly shifted in favor of the Chiefs, Ryan Tannehill was forced to throw the ball and Derrick Henry was essentially taken out of the Titans’ game plan.
Could a similar situation occur in the Super Bowl? If the Chiefs get out to a big lead, the 49ers may have no other choice but to let Garoppolo try to air it out.

So far in these playoffs, Patrick Mahomes has thrown for 209 yards just in the 2nd quarter.

And with Kansas City’s offense, this scenario is definitely within the realm of possibility.
Pick: Under 240.5 yards (-115)
Jimmy Garoppolo passing touchdowns – O/U 1.5
It seems so long ago now, when Garoppolo shredded the New Orleans Saints in Week 14 for 349 yards passing and, more importantly to this prop, four touchdown passes.Garoppolo hasn’t had multiple touchdown passes in any of the five games since then, throwing for only a single touchdown in three of his last five outings.
The Chiefs’ pass defense has improved considerably this year when it comes to allowing major scores. Kansas City gave up only 21 touchdown passes in the regular season – tied for the eighth lowest total. That's an average of just 1.2 per game.
The Under is favored, and rightly so, when you break down Garoppolo’s touchdown totals over the last five weeks of game play.

So far in these playoffs, Patrick Mahomes has thrown for 209 yards just in the second quarter. Jimmy Garoppolo has thrown for 208 yards total this postseason.
Another thing to keep in mind: Garoppolo threw more than one touchdown in a game just seven times in 18 games this season.
Pick: Under 1.5 passing touchdowns (-115)
Jimmy Garoppolo interceptions – O/U 0.5 interceptions
Ball security hasn't been the greatest strength for Garoppolo this season, and no matter how strong their defense is, the 49ers can ill afford turning the ball over to that Chiefs offense, which has been able to turn the tables on their opposition when presented with even the slightest opening.Garoppolo has thrown at least one interception in 11 of 18 games, his last coming in the Divisional Round against the Minnesota Vikings.

The Chiefs defense had the fifth most interceptions this year, again another sign of their improvement against the opposition’s passing game. They also haven’t recorded a pick in these playoffs, although that may give the bettors the impression that they’re due.
Pick: Over 0.5 interceptions (-140)
