NFL mock draft: Ranking the top offensive linemen
The NFL Draft won’t have it's usual ceremony in 2020, because of COVID-19 concerns, but it will still occur. The NFL is a money-making machine, a national treasure, and most fortunately, a sport that still has more than five months until its season begins.
Sports are dark now, but they won’t be forever, so let's look forward to a day when football returns.
There are three positions that matter most to in the NFL — quarterback, defensive line, and offensive line. While there isn’t a plethora of elite talent at defensive line this year, there appears to be some very intriguing prospects on the offensive side of the ball.
Let’s take a look at the five best offensive-line prospects in this year’s Draft.
5. Austin Jackson (USC)
At 6-foot-5, 322 pounds, Jackson offers both size and athleticism and has all the physical tools needed to succeed in the NFL. Jackson is considered one of the better athletes at the position and needs to work on technique at the next level, something a well-qualified coach no doubt will see as a great opportunity.

4. Andrew Thomas (Georgia)
The Georgia offensive line was considered the second-best in the country, behind only Oregon, and Thomas was the star of that line. Thomas ended up as the third-rated offensive lineman in the country, according to Pro Football Focus, and paved the way for an impressive Georgia rushing attack.
3. Jedrick Wills (Alabama)
Wills helped contribute to Tua Tagovailoa’s near record-breaking numbers by giving the quarterback plenty of time in the pocket the majority of the time.
Wills was one of the stars of the Combine, where he exhibited elite strength and quickness. It would not be shocking to see him be the first offensive lineman off the board, as the top three are all somewhat interchangeable, depending on what a team is looking for.

2. Tristan Wirfs (Iowa)
Iowa has a rich tradition of producing outstanding NFL offensive lineman, and Wirfs forecasts to be the next in that long line of heavyweights.
At 6-foot-5, 320 pounds, Wirfs ran a 4.85-second 40-yard dash at the Combine, the best time of any offensive lineman. Prior to that, he completed a record-setting 36.5-inch vertical jump, and tied the broad jump record of 10-feet, 1-inch. Wirfs won the Combine, and after he anchored the Iowa offensive line, he seems like a lock to be a top 10 pick.
1. Mekhi Becton (Louisville)
Becton weighed in as the heaviest offensive lineman on the board at 364 pounds. While he could stand to lose a bit, there is no doubt he is a mountainous obstruction between a quarterback and pass rusher.
He has long arms to compliment his 6-foot-7 frame, and ran an impressive 5.10-second 40 time at the Combine. Becton has to be appealing to both Giants general manager Dave Gettleman and Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury.
