NBA and PGA Tour among sports you can now bet on
More major professional sports leagues in North America and Europe will be returning soon after the COVID-19 pandemic forced the suspension of their seasons in March.
The Bundesliga in Germany is well into its return, with Matchday 30 taking place this weekend, while the Premier League, La Liga in Spain, and Serie A in Italy are expected to return to action this month.
Meanwhile, the NBA has announced plans to return later this summer, with the league’s Board of Governors approving the proposed format by a nearly unanimous vote earlier this week.
Motor Racing has also returned with NASCAR firing up its engines last month after a two-month suspension. IndyCar returns with the Genesys 300 at Texas Motor Speedway.
Here is an updated list of sports you can wager on right now at BetAmerica.
Soccer
Bayern Munich continues to close in on yet another Bundesliga title, with a heavily anticipated Saturday showdown against Bayer Leverkusen that will be the headliner for Matchday 30.
Bayern Munich is top of the table right now, seven points clear of second-place Borussia Dortmund, heading into Saturday’s games. Bayern Munich will enter its match with Bayer Leverkusen as a sizable favorite at BetAmerica to win.
BetAmerica provides a robust offering of markets for Bundesliga soccer, and more games will soon be available with the resumption of the Premier League, La Liga, and Serie A seasons.
Spain’s La Liga season resumes on June 11 with Sevilla FC facing Real Betis. The Premier League gets back underway with a double-header on June 17, as Aston Villa faces Sheffield United, before Manchester City faces Arsenal.
Italy’s Serie A is expected to get underway on June 20, with Torino facing Parma and Hellas Verona facing Cagliari in a double-header.
UFC 250
After a brief suspension of events earlier this spring as a result of the pandemic, the UFC has since resumed with a number of recent fights, and that continues Saturday with UFC 250.
Amanda Nunes will fight Felicia Spencer in the main event of UFC 250, with Nunes a heavy favorite with moneyline odds of -645 at BetAmerica.

NBA
The NBA Board of Governors on Thursday approved the competitive format for the re-start of the 2019-20 season, which will have a tentative start date of July 31 in Orlando, Fla. The league said in a statement that it will continue to work with the National Basketball Players Association and medical officials on the next steps towards finalizing a re-start to the season.
There are currently a number of basketball futures markets to wager on, including the NBA Championship outright market and conference winners. The Milwaukee Bucks are current NBA Championship favorites, with odds of +250 at BetAmerica, followed by LeBron James and Los Angeles Lakers at +270.
You can also bet on which player will be selected first in the 2020 NBA Draft.
PGA Tour
Sports bettors who fancy wagering on golf have had a couple of opportunities in recent weeks with the TaylorMade Driving Relief skins game and The Match II featuring Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Peyton Manning, and Tom Brady.

And now the PGA Tour is now set to make its return next week at the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club.
Rory McIlroy, who was enjoying an impressive run of results prior to the PGA Tour stoppage, is the favorite to win next week at Colonial, with outright odds of +700.
BetAmerica’s golf offering also includes each way bets to five places. Bettors can place a bet on the player to win the tournament, but the each way option is for that player to finish typically within the top five places at a quarter of the odds.
NHL
The NHL has announced its plans to return to play later this summer, with a 24-team format to compete for the Stanley Cup.
Like the NBA, the NHL suspended its season in March. A firm date for when the NHL could begin playing games has not been announced. The format would include a 16-team Qualifying Round, as well as a Seeding Round Robin for the top four teams in the league’s overall standings when the pandemic forced the stoppage.
NHL markets available to wager on at BetAmerica include picking the Stanley Cup winner, name the finalists, conference winners, and series outright winners for the Qualifying Round.
The Tampa Bay Lightning and Boston Bruins are co-favorites to win the Stanley Cup with outright odds of +650 at BetAmerica.
