Sheffield United are relegated, and West Brom and Fulham look destined to join them. It’s only a matter of time before Manchester City are crowned champions, with Leicester and Man United looking like certainties for Champions League football next year.

Although it may look on paper that the league is all sewn up with five games remaining, you’d be mistaken in thinking there is nothing to play for. With Euro 2021 just seven weeks away, there are plenty of Europe’s biggest stars looking to keep their momentum up, and a few surprise names looking to keep their name at the front of the mind of their national gaffer.

Brighton vs. Leeds: Patrick Bamford First Goalscorer (+450) or Anytime (+190)

Leeds are one of those teams that, with five games to go, don’t have a lot to play for. Comfortably in mid-table they are cruising towards a top half finish and it would be no surprise if the majority of the team coasted towards their summer holidays.

The 27-year-old still has a glimmer of a chance of making Gareth Southgate’s England squad and has five games left to persuade the Three Lions gaffer. Harry Kane is the only Englishman with more Premier League goals this season than Bamford, and the Leeds striker can add his 15th of the year this weekend in the game vs. Brighton.

32% of Leeds United’s away goals have been scored by Bamford, who will be keen to get back on track after just two goals in his last nine games. Brighton haven’t won in four, and although sat in 17th, should still avoid relegation barring a remarkable recovery from Fulham.

They’re the perfect target for Bamford to take aim at as he aims to get his England call-up.

Everton vs. Aston Villa: Ollie Watkins First Goalscorer (+550) or Anytime (+230)

Similarly to Bamford, Ollie Watkins could be a surprise England call-up this summer and will be doing his best to remind Southgate of what he can bring to the party as the Premier League reaches its conclusion. Watkins scored on his England debut in a 5-0 win over San Marino at the end of March, and has followed it up with two goals in four games for Villa.

Watkins opened the scoring on Merseyside at the start of April when Villa faced Liverpool, and he can give the blue half of the city similar worries this weekend.

Everton’s home record is appalling this year, and they’ve picked up just 19 points from a possible 48. While they have lost just one of their last 12 away games in the league, at Goodison Park Everton have won one of the last nine and lost to Burnley, Fulham, and Newcastle in the last three months.

The Toffees have conceded 12 goals in their last seven league games at home, and Watkins already has more than a quarter of Villa’s goals this season with 12 to his name. He can add to Everton’s woes at home and put his name back in the mix for a surprise England call-up.

Tottenham vs. Sheffield Utd: Harry Kane First Goalscorer (+190) or Anytime (-200)

One player that already has a guaranteed call up is Harry Kane. England’s sixth highest scorer of all-time and the man that currently leads the way for this year’s Golden Boot, can add to his tally of 21 against a Sheffield United side already relegated.

Kane has eight goals in his last eight league games and scored to put Spurs 2-0 up when they met Sheffield United in January.

Spurs have not been in good form this season, but that hasn’t stopped Kane doing what he does best – finding the back of the net.

Kane has had more shots per game than any other player in the league, and has scored 38% of all Tottenham’s goals this season.

Only West Brom and Southampton have a worse defensive record than the Blades, who have already conceded 56 goals this season, including an average of just under two for every away game. They’ve lost their last six league games on the road, and conceded 13 in the process, so a striker of Kane’s quality will be licking his chops.
