Overview

It's the first North London Derby of the 2019-2020 season, and Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur both come in off losses last week. Still, the Derby is one that's always fierce, and you can expect play to be physical and dramatic. Who will have the edge at Emirates Stadium on Sunday?

Arsenal

Arsenal started the season well, but ran into the juggernaut that is Liverpool last weekend and lost 3-1. The main struggle was with maintaining possession and exhibiting nerves in the attacking third. The Gunners want players like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette to have chances to do what they do best—score with flair.

So far they haven't been able to do that with consistency, and the Gunners will look to get them involved early. On defense it has been shaky in each match so far, and Arsenal won't get a reprieve Sunday. The club will have to prove that it has learned from its mistakes to not give Spurs any chances to score.

Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs started the season finding the back of the net, but that ended in a shock loss to Newcastle last weekend. Their first step to getting back on track is to figure out a way to get the ball to the feet of guys like Harry Kane, Lucas Moura and Son Heung-min. Christian Eriksen is the X-factor in the middle, and the Spurs lineup misses his dynamic play when he's not on the field.

In each match this year, Tottenham has had to play from behind after giving up early goals, so the club's emphasis will need to be on the defensive end, so that it won't end up having to play catch up once again. Will it be enough to win at the Emirates?
