Norwich City
Norwich City is in trouble and has been in trouble for a while. The Canaries are in last place with just 14 points. They’re five points out of 19th place, and eight points below the relegation line. They’ve allowed the most goals in the Premier League (41) and that has contributed to their disastrous results this season. To stay in the top flight of English soccer, they’re going to need to improve their defense. If they can’t keep the ball out of their own net, they’ll be saying goodbye once again to the Premier League. Norwich City was in the Championship the last three seasons, after it was last relegated from the Premier League in 2016.
Aston Villa
Villa has had a string of unfortunate results, which has led to its fall to 17th place (21 points). The Lions have allowed 37 goals and have a goal differential of -10. Defense is key, as the tight race in the bottom half of the league will mean every result counts.Aston Villa was a Premier League member from 1992 to 2016, when it was relegated to the Championship. It was promoted back to the EPL for this season, after three seasons in the Championship.
Bournemouth
Bournemouth doesn’t score many goals, and its defense has had inopportune lapses. The Cherries have struggled lately, and they’re going to need to improve. They have a couple matches coming up against the bottom-three teams, but eight matches remain against the top 10. If they don’t get points against the teams in their class, they could be left back in the Championship, where they resided in the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 seasons.Watford
Watford’s biggest problem is that it can't score. The Hornets have the fewest goals in the EPL (17), and the result is that they’re in 19th place with 19 points. That’s not going to get it done in the EPL, and they have some tough matches coming up. Watford will need to get its goal scoring up if it wants to stay in the Premier League for a sixth straight season.Whether you like to play the Premier League, Championship, or both, BetAmerica is the place to wager on English soccer!
