Italy vs. Spain: The best player prop bets for Euro 2020
Euro 2020 began with 24 teams vying for glory, but we enter the semi-finals on Tuesday, July 6 with just four nations left standing. Italy and Spain have now met in four straight European Championship knockout rounds with their match this year, with the Italians coming out on top in 2016.
Let’s look at the player prop bets for this latest meeting and find the best value available.
Lorenzo Insigne Over/Under 2.5 shots
Insigne has taken at least three shots in three of his four appearances in the tournament thus far, and scored Italy’s winning goal in their 2-1 victory over Belgium. Spain are going to look to control the ball in this match, which should lead to plenty of opportunities for Italy to break once they regain possession. Insigne’s pace and dribbling always put him in a dangerous position in such instances.

While the loss of Leonardo Spinazzola on the left will impact how teams can defend Insigne, he is still in line to take free kicks and will be a threat cutting inside onto his right foot. Given that extra time counts towards this prop bet, it is solid value for a player who is a major part of Italy’s attack during this tournament.
Pick: Over 2.5 shots (+110)
Ciro Immobile or Lorenzo Insigne to score
While Insigne and Immobile are tied with Manuel Locatelli for the leading Italian goal-scorer with two each, Immobile has not scored since the final minutes of Italy's win over the Swiss, and has come under fire the past few days. Many are calling for him to be dropped for Andrea Belotti, but Roberto Mancini has stood by his star striker.

Spain have shown serious weakness at the back in this tournament, and the counter-attacking prowess of the Italians could be a perfect setup for Immobile to get in position for an easy header. Even if he struggles, Insigne provides a terrific threat going forward. Getting positive odds on one of them finding the back of the net is too good to pass up, especially against a Spanish side that has conceded four goals in their last two matches.
Pick: YES (+120)
Koke Over/Under 1.5 shots
Since the return of Sergio Busquets to the lineup, Koke has been getting more involved going forward in the Spanish attack. After registering one shot in the 5-0 victory over Slovakia, he recorded two shots in each of the matches against Croatia and Switzerland. Both of Koke’s shots against the Swiss came in regulation.

Italy’s defense is quite solid, having conceded zero goals in the group stage and just once in each of their knockout matches. With Spain expected to have plenty of possession against the vaunted back line of the Azzurri, shots from distance will likely be taken more often than not. To get such high odds with only two shots needed is outstanding value, and you should jump on it before it’s too late.
Pick: Over 1.5 shots (+220)
