France vs. Germany: The best prop bets for Euro 2020
The marquee matchup of Matchday 1 of Euro 2020 features two powerhouses who are quite familiar with each other. France heads to Munich to square off with Germany, as both teams look to win the Group of Death.
Let’s break down the four best prop bets available, and show you how using the TwinSpires Sports Bet Builder can help you score a big payday on Tuesday.
Antoine Griezmann and Kai Havertz over/under 0.5 shots on goal
These two player props provide the best value in terms of attack in the match. Griezmann is in outstanding form, having scored in each of his last three matches for club and country and having found the net seven times in his last 10 starts. He has scored four goals against Germany in his career, the most of any nation he has faced, including a pair of goals in their last meeting in 2018. With Germany focused on Kylian Mbappe and Karim Benzema, he should have plenty of room to fire off a shot.

Meanwhile, German media reported on Monday morning that Havertz will be starting for Germany, while Timo Werner will begin the match on the bench. This means Havertz will be leading the attack against the stout French defense. While he might not score, Havertz’s strength, excellent footwork, and aerial prowess should see him test Hugo Lloris at least once in the match. Get this positive juice while you still can.
Bet Builder Pick: Griezmann over 0.5 SOG (-125), Havertz over 0.5 SOG (+140)
France/Draw double chance combined with under 2.5 goals
You can get solid value through the TwinSpires Bet Builder and not only get the favorites to win or to draw, but cash in on a low-scoring match. In their last six meetings, only once have both Germany and France found the back of the net, and in four of the meetings the total has been two goals or fewer. Germany also have drawn with France in their last two meetings on home soil, and have failed to win in their last five meetings.
Furthermore, France have won five of their last six matches overall, and have kept clean sheets in their last four. They are favored to win, but a draw is quite likely, given the difficulty of the group and both teams wanting to leave the match without having lost ground to the other. Use the Bet Builder to get great exposure to France while protecting against the draw in a match that should not see many goals.
Bet Builder pick: France/Draw double-chance PLUS under 2.5 goals (+130)
Over/under 23.5 total shots
Heading into Monday’s action, just two of the seven matches played have seen a shot total of more than 23.5 occur. Those two matches were the Italy-Turkey match, where the Turkish side bunkered and allowed Italy to pepper them with attempts, and the Wales-Switzerland match, where the Welsh side did the same until they fell behind. Only one other match has come close so far, with Netherlands-Ukraine hitting 22 shots, but six of those shots came in the first seven minutes of the match as the Dutch unloaded on the visitors.

The matches with more even teams have seen fewer shots thus far. This match features a German side that will be set up to control the ball, and a French side with the best defense in the tournament. While there should be plenty of action going up and down the pitch, the shots will be harder to come by. Take the Under as both teams work hard to find their chances in a cagey match.
Bet Builder pick: Under 23.5 total shots (-106)
