Euro 2020: Russia vs. Denmark betting odds, preview, and pick
Group B of Euro 2020 is an absolute thriller, and with Belgium expected to beat Finland, today's game between Russia and Denmark is going to be crucial. A Russia win or draw would see them qualify as runners-up, with Finland finishing third and Denmark heading for the door. But a Danish victory would see Denmark, Russia, and Finland all likely finish with three points, and it would be Denmark who finish as runners-up to Belgium if they win by two goals or more.
It’s a fascinating group, and Denmark will have a raucous home crowd behind them with today's game being played in Copenhagen.
Denmark are full of creative flair
Denmark sit at bottom of Group B with zero points, but that doesn’t reflect how well they’ve played in their two games. In awful circumstances against Finland, Denmark had 22 shots in total while the Finns had just one shot over 90 minutes. That one shot decided the game 1-0.
In their game against Belgium, Denmark led the shot count again, 21-6, but they were undone by two moments of magic from Kevin De Bruyne, who set up the equalizer and then scored the winner as Belgium came from behind to win 2-1.
What a moment for Denmark.

Denmark were undefeated in qualifying, scoring 23 times and conceding just six in their eight games. Even without Christian Eriksen, they showed against Belgium that they can create plenty of chances, and the -200 on Denmark to have Over 4.5 shots on target looks a solid bet.
Russia are riding their luck
In complete contrast to Denmark, the Russians are fortunate to be where they are in Group B. They were hammered 3-0 in St Petersburg against Belgium and barely managed to threaten the group leaders. Against Finland, they scraped to a 1-0 win in one of the worst matches of the entire tournament. They have managed just four shots on target across their two games so far, and only England, Finland, and Slovakia have managed fewer.

Russia not to score at +128 is tempting for a side struggling to threaten the other teams in Group B.
Braithwaite is threatening to find the net
Martin Braithwaite hasn’t exactly been prolific for Barcelona since his €18m move last year, with three goals in 40 appearances. However, a number of those appearances have been as a substitute, and with Denmark missing Eriksen, they need their more experienced players to turn up.

In qualifying, only Eriksen and Christian Gytkjaer scored more goals than Braithwaite, who has had already has nine attempts on goal during Euro 2020. Only Italy’s Ciro Immobile and the Czech Republic’s Patrik Schick have managed more. With that confidence to go for goal and Denmark’s need to win, Braithwaite to score first at +650 is a nice play.
Russia vs. Denmark Prediction
Denmark are a step above Russia in terms of quality, and if they can start burying their chances, they should show it here. If they do grab the first goal, Russia will have to attack themselves, and that could leave them open on the counter. I don’t see this being a high-scoring match, and Under 3.5 goals at -345 odds is bang on.
Russia haven’t shown enough in their opening two games to suggest they can cope with Denmark’s attacking ability, and 2-0 to the Danes at +650 is the right bet for this match.
