EPL game of the week: Liverpool vs. Manchester City
The most significant matchup of the young season is upon us Sunday, November 10, as the two favorites to win the English Premier League face off at Anfield. Will Liverpool continue its unbeaten start to the season, or will Manchester City cut its deficit in the table in half?

Liverpool off to a fast start
Liverpool has stormed out to a ferocious start, with 10 wins and a draw in its 11 matches. While the bulk of its scoring has come from Sadio Mané (six goals) and Mohamed Salah (five), the attack comes from all parts of the field. Andrew Robertson, Salah, Roberto Firmino and Trent Alexander-Arnold all have three assists, good for for a tie for fifth in the EPL.SCENES pic.twitter.com/DNY9OSBOdw

The Reds can beat you with any of the guys on the field, and they will need to continue to draw inspiration from their stars, while the guys in the middle do the dirty work of keeping the possession and sending the ball forward. On defense Virgil Van Dijk has to play like the best player on the field if Liverpool wants to take the three points.
City’s issues this season have been on defense, where the Citizens have had some lapses that have cost them a couple matches. They cannot allow that against Liverpool if they want to gain ground in the standings.
Manchester City has dealt with defensive lapses
Manchester City has also been pretty good on the season, at 8-1-2. Sergio Agüero has nine goals so far this season, second in the EPL. His counterpart, Raheem Sterling, has seven goals, good for fifth in the league. Kevin De Bruyne (nine assists, tops in the EPL) and David Silva (four assists, second in EPL) have created the attack for the Citizens.City’s issues this season have been on defense, where the Citizens have had some lapses that have cost them a couple matches. They cannot allow that against Liverpool if they want to gain ground in the standings.
Prediction: Manchester City wins (+150)
Sunday's match will be a back-and-forth affair, but I predict a late De Bruyne goal (+450) will secure a 2-1 win for Manchester City, and the Citizens will leave Anfield just three points out of first place.BetAmerica is your place to get down on soccer every week.
