English Premier League Betting Preview - Manchester United Grinds Uphill at Liverpool
English Premier League betting resumes this weekend, with a cracking set of matchups!
Manchester United travels to Old Traffod to take on a surging Liverpool team with a lot at stake. Beyond that, we have two more game previews for the big games on Saturday. Action continues through the middle of next week as well, so stay tuned to our English Premier League betting boards!Manchester United +210 vs Liverpool +130 Old Trafford - Sunday Feb. 24th - 9:05 am EST
The long-standing rivalry between these two teams cannot be discounted but a victorious outcome on either side could drastically alter the top table standings.Forget that United is down 14 points to Liverpool. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has eight wins and a draw out of his last nine League matches. This, coupled with Paul Pogba’s spectacular talent as of late could add up to a Liverpool takedown
Liverpool has a lot to lose on this match. While Man City is carrying around an extra game, if Liverpool take this they’ll replace City at the top of the table with 3 points breathing room. However, with three of their last four matches ending in a draw, the club is average form at best.
These teams are deadlocked with three draws and a win apiece at home in their last five EPL meetings so it could be argued that the safe English Premier League betting selection could be on a stalemate.
However, I'm going to take Manchester United. This team is rolling with talent, momentum and history and will come out on top
Leicester City +120 vs Crystal Palace +250 King Power - Saturday Feb. 23rd -12:30 pm EST
This is going to be a tight and stressful English Premier League betting match for everyone when Leicester City hosts Crystal Palace at King Power Stadium.Leicester has had a tough go with their recent three matches facing Man United, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur. They walked away with one point to show for it and they are in desperate need of a win.
Crystal Palace welcomed back Wilfried Zaha just in time and a solid CP roster is certainly going to help. However, they are still only 3 points away from ending up in regulation and a win will mean safety for the time being
Leicester have full roster strength and only hold a 5 point deficit from 7th place on the table but with their recent track record, a win is far from certain.
Palace has conquered Leicester in their last three PL matches. Coupled with their momentum and the fear of ending up in regulation, Crystal Palace will win this leaving Leicester to slip farther down the table.
Burnley FC +435 vs Tottenham Hotspur -135 Turf Moor - Saturday Feb. 23rd - 7:30 EST am
This will be an all important match for both teams. The Spurs want to grip onto their 3rd place spot and Burnley can feel the heat of regulation should they fall. The Clarets had a poor showing at the beginning of their season and settled into regulation being 3 points out from safety. Since December 26th the club has amassed 15 points of a possible 21 and are now sitting in 15th, which is nothing to sneeze at.
However, most would attribute home turf advantage to having an edge, but Burnley has only collected 2 points out of 42 available home points against ‘big six’ opponents in PL.
Tottenham will have rest and a 4 match win streak on their side when they travel to Burnley.
Dele Ali is back and it’s rumored that Harry Kane is too but Son Heung-min has proved that he can play understudy for either of the attacking duo. The Lilywhites should be well confident ahead of this match.
A Spurs win would mean a 5-0 winning record heading into tough back-to-back derbies against Chelsea and Arsenal and they’ll need the momentum to face these big matches.
Tottenham look invincible at the moment and should take this match and continue their reign at the top of the table.
