Copa América semifinals preview: Brazil vs. Argentina

The Copa América semifinals are here, and there's one match the entire world has been waiting for, while the other side of the bracket features teams that have surprised some to get to this stage.

Brazil vs. Argentina, Tuesday, 8:30 p.m. ET

(Brazil -120, Argentina +365, Draw +235)

Host Brazil gets to face off against its biggest rival at home. Every player who will suit up for both teams has dreamed of playing in this match. The Brazilians didn't make it easy for themselves against Paraguay in the quarterfinals, as they advanced on penalties. They will need to be much better if they want to get past Argentina, who is in its third straight Copa América semifinal. Lionel Messi has been decent in the tournament, but La Albiceleste will need him at his best to get past Brazil.

Brazil hasn't won Copa América since 2007, and Brazilian fans have been hoping that this is the moment they get back to the top of South America.

Argentina hasn't won the tournament since 1993, despite finals appearances in four of the last five Copa Américas. Expect Argentina to wait a little longer. This one goes to penalties (+240), but Brazil will win it (+1100).

Chile vs. Peru, Wednesday, 8:30 p.m. ET

(Chile -110, Peru +345, Draw +225)

Chile is the two-time defending Copa América champion, and advanced with a minor upset of Colombia via penalty kicks in the quarterfinal round.

Peru posted a major upset of Uruguay when it won on penalties in their quarterfinal, and this sets up a match that is pretty even.

The Chileans have the juice that has carried them to two straight Copa América titles, and they will show it again Wednesday night. Chile wins 3-1 (+1850) to advance to yet another final.
