Copa América: Argentina, Chile battle for third place
The 2019 Copa América enters its final two matches, and it begins with the third-place match between Argentina and Chile. Who will win the consolation match?
Argentina couldn't get anything together against Brazil in the semifinal round, and had some terrible luck as well. With Angel Di Maria on one wing, Lionel Messi in the middle and Sergio Agüero up top, Argentina will be able to carve out some chances against the Chilean defense. All the Argentinians need is for their back line to maintain and not lose shape like they did against Brazil.
Against Peru the Chile defense was a disaster, the Chileans couldn't hold possession when it mattered and Peru exploited those deficiencies. They will have to do better with possession, a hard task against La Albiceleste.
Argentina is the better team, but consistently has fallen at the final hurdle in its last few tournaments. Argentina has a bit more firepower than Chile, and it will show Saturday night. Alexis Sanchez will score one for Chile (+160), but it will be Paulo Dybala (+150) who will be the surprise scorer for Argentina. He gets one and Messi will add the game winner (+240) as Argentina wins 2-1 (+800).
