About Southland Park Gaming and Racing

Founded as Southland Greyhound Park in 1956 as the only venue to offer gambling in the mid-south, Southland would attract crowds upwards of 20,000 through the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. After a 2006 renovation, the new 55,000 square foot gaming room opened along with a 400-seat event center and a nightclub. Southland Park is now the preeminent greyhound track in the mid-south.
