Zion's NBA Rookie of the Year odds improve
Zion Williamson may have missed a large part of the season due to injury, but his first 12 games in the NBA have provided bettors with enough confidence to support him to win an unlikely Rookie Of The Year Award.
Williamson’s odds of being crowned Rookie of the Year have tumbled significantly at BetAmerica in the past month, from a high of +1600 prior to his regular-season debut against San Antonio on Jan. 22, to his current quote of +400.
Odds to win the 2020 NBA Rookie of the Year Award
Player | 2020 NBA Rookie of the Year Odds |
---|
Ja Morant | -700 |
Zion Williamson | +400 |
Kendrick Nunn | +3000 |
Rui Hachimura | +4000 |
Brandon Clarke | +5000 |
Williamson is now an outright second favorite and the only rookie BetAmerica players think has a chance of upsetting Ja Morant, who tops BetAmerica’s market at the short odds of -700.
“We had a number of optimistic bettors take the top odds about Zion prior to his debut and with each of his impressive performances since, more and more have jumped on,” said BetAmerica’s Andrew Brown.
