Super Bowl bets flowing in favor of Chiefs
TwinSpires Sports bettors are confident the Kansas City Chiefs will be celebrating back-to-back Super Bowl titles tonight.
The Chiefs have been solid 3-point favorites with the Churchill Downs-owned sportsbook all week, and are attracting lopsided support at both the moneyline and spread.
"The money is coming in 2-for-1 in favor of the Chiefs," said TwinSpires spokesperson, Andrew Brown.
"66% of the money we’re holding in our spread market and 67% of the money in our moneyline market is for Kansas City."
TwinSpires players are anticipating plenty of touchdowns, with more than 70% of the money wagered at TwinSpires on Over 56 points to be scored.
Novelty bets are proving popular, especially the pre-game coin toss.
"Remarkably, more than 90% of our players are backing heads over tails."
Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has been well supported to score the first touchdown of the night at odds of +650, ahead of teammate Tyreek Hill (+700) and Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans (+900).
Patrick Mahomes is the -106 favorite for MVP, but Tom Brady (+190) has attracted four times more individual bets than the Chiefs quarterback.
To celebrate Sunday’s big game, TwinSpires is offering its best new player sign-up offer yet. New TwinSpires Sports bettors can be eligible for up to $1,000 in bonus bets.
