Houston Roughnecks muscle their way into XFL Championship favoritism
A clear favorite has emerged to win the first championship of the re-booted XFL as the league swings into the half way point of the regular season.
The 4-0 Houston Roughnecks, the only undefeated team in the league, have been well supported by BetAmerica players, who have significantly sliced their odds from a preseason price of +800 to their current quote of +175.
The St. Louis BattleHawks, whose only loss came against the Roughnecks in Week 2, have also seen their odds cut significantly from +1000 to +275 since the start of the season.

The odds of preseason favorite, the Dallas Renegades, have moved from +325 to +600, while preseason second favorite, NY Guardians, have been the biggest disappointment according to bettors, with their odds of winning the XFL Championship ballooning from +375 to +1200.
"Our players have honed in on the Roughnecks as the top contender and at this stage think only the BattleHawks can give them a run for their money," said BetAmerica’s Andrew Brown.
The Roughnecks are 12.5 point favorites at BetAmerica against Seattle Dragons on Saturday, while the BattleHawks are 4.5 favorites against the DC Defenders on Sunday.
