The Sharks face another elimination game in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and have so far done well to dodge an exit from the playoffs.

In Game 7 against Vegas in the first round, the Sharks had to score four goals in the third period to force overtime and then won in extra time. In the conference semifinals, the Sharks again got by with a 3-2 victory against the Avalanche in Game 7. Now they must win two in a row over the Blues to advance to the Stanley Cup Finals.

But trends hand this matchup to the Blues. St. Louis is 7-1 in their last eight after scoring five goals or more in their previous game. The home team is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings between the two teams.

St. Louis is also healthy, while San Jose is not. San Jose has stepped it up when they've had to during the NHL Playoffs. They won't step it up on May 21 because they've got key players banged up.
