NHL Finals Preview - Game 1 - St Louis Blues at Boston Bruins
The St. Louis Blues battle the Boston Bruins in Game 1 at the TD Garden on Monday, May 27.
By winning Game 6, the Blues won the series and begin their quest for the Stanley Cup on Monday, May 27.
The first game takes place at the TD Garden in Boston, MA and the St. Louis Blues are the underdog at +125 Moneyline. Based on what’s happened in playoffs action this NHL season, the Blues aren’t worried about their underdog status.
St. Louis has won on the road in every series during the postseason. They beat Winnipeg 3 times, they took Dallas down twice on enemy ice and they beat San Jose twice on the road as well. The Blues are cruising off a 3-game winning streak heading into the Stanly Cup Finals.
Although St. Louis’ winning streak is impressive, the success is not comparable to Boston’s winning streak. The Bruins have won 7 straight matches to beat Columbus in three straight games in the Conference Semifinals followed by a clean sweeping of the Carolina Hurricanes.
Even though Boston will not have played competitively since May 16, their growing dominance in post season play is hard to look past as they look to win on Monday night.
The Bruins have dominated, but St. Louis will pose more of a challenge than the Blue Jackets or Hurricanes did and the challenge should last later into the series.
Boston takes Game 1.
