Blues vs. Lightning: The best player prop bets for Dec. 2
The St. Louis Blues (12-7-3) will visit the Tampa Bay Lightning (12-5-4) tonight for the second game of a home-and-home series following a thriller two nights ago in Missouri. Down 3-0, the Blues were able to complete the comeback in a 4-3 shootout win thanks to Ryan O’Reilly, who secured the winner to go along with a goal in regulation.
Ville Husso (3-1-0) will start this evening for the Blues, while Andrei Vasilevskiy (10-4-3) will be between the pipes for the Bolts after Brian Elliott tended net last game.
Puck drop is set for 7:00 p.m. ET, and we have the three best player prop bets below.
PAVEL BUCHNEVICH: TO SCORE AT LEAST ONE POINT
After collecting an assist in Tuesday’s game, St. Louis left-winger Pavel Buchnevich will head into tonight with a four game point streak (4G-3A).

Leading the team in goals scored away from home with six, the Russian sensation will look to step up again as the Blues try to end a four-game road slide. He may or may not have another goal in him tonight, but bettors should feel confident that Buchnevich will be buzzing around the net to collect at least one point and continue his hot streak.
PICK: YES (-114)
RYAN O'REILLY: TO SCORE AT LEAST ONE POINT
Ryan O’Reilly always seems to be in the mix when opportunities present themselves. In his last three seasons, the Ontario native has averaged nearly one point per game, which is impressive for the now 13-year NHL veteran.
O'Reilly has only collected 11 points (4G-7A) in 18 games this season, which is not quite up to that point-per-game benchmark. However, with the Blues playing well (second place in the Central Division), and their power play producing at a highly effective 29.5% (second in the NHL), we can expect O’Reilly to find the scoresheet more consistently.
PICK: YES (-134)
VICTOR HEDMAN: OVER/UNDER 2.5 SHOTS ON GOAL
As one of the most consistent players in the league and a leader on Tampa Bay’s defense, Victor Hedman is someone bettors should always consider when examining prop picks for Lightning games.

Hedman is presently tied for seventh in the league for points scored by a d-man (3G-16A), and has produced eight shots on goal combined in his last two games. Any way you slice it, the Norris Trophy winner should continue to be an offensive threat tonight from the blue line.
PICK: OVER (-118)
