Washington Football Team vs. Pittsburgh Steelers: The best betting props for MNF
Week 13 of the NFL season finishes up with another Monday night double-header and a Tuesday night showcase. In the first of the three closing games, the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers host the division-leading Washington Football Team.
Washington has won three of its past five games after starting 1-5, and is the slight favorite to win the lowly NFC East. Meanwhile, the Steelers are looking to remain undefeated and stay atop the AFC to achieve that elusive first round bye.
Here are the three best betting props for the Week 13 Monday Night Football showdown between the Washington Football Team and Pittsburgh Steelers.
Antonio Gibson rushing yards
Antonio Gibson is starting to come into his own with Washington. Dating back to Week 7, the rookie third round pick has racked up 402 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. That's 80.4 yards per game, 5.36 yards per carry, and 1.6 touchdowns per game. On Thanksgiving, Gibson feasted for 115 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

This number is currently only sitting at 44.5 rushing yards. Gibson has managed to surpass that number in three consecutive games and seven of his 11 games overall. However, the Steelers defense will put up a tough test for the rookie to find running room. Pittsburgh ranks eighth in the league in rushing yards allowed at 105.7 yards per game.
Even though the Steelers defense is one of the best in the league, this number is just too low. Only the Ravens (without Lamar Jackson), Browns (without Nick Chubb), Texans, and Giants failed to have their starting running back reach this number. I love Gibson to easily hit the Over.
Pick: Over 44.5 rushing yards (-115)
JuJu Smith-Schuster receptions
JuJu Smith-Schuster has not had the year many predicted with Ben Roethlisberger back from injury and Antonio Brown no longer in the picture. However, he's still a vital part of Pittsburgh's offense even though his yardage and touchdown numbers are down.
Smith-Schuster is second on the team in targets (84) and first in receptions (66). That's an average of six catches per game, and the number here is just 5.5 receptions. JuJu has six or more catches in five of his past six games, and is the go-to guy on short yardage throws for Big Ben.

Washington has a good pass defense, but it also has played several games against poor passing offenses. Only three of the 11 games played by Washington were against top 16 passing offenses, like the Steelers have. Look for JuJu to get many looks on short yardage throws and easily hit the Over.
Pick: Over 5.5 receptions (-135)
First touchdown scorer
Washington has allowed its opponent to score the first touchdown of the game in seven of its 11 games. The Steelers, meanwhile, have scored the first touchdown in eight of their 11 games.
So far, the first touchdown scorer for the Steelers has been the defense three times, Diontae Johnson twice, Chase Claypool twice, and James Conner once. The fact that the defense has scored first three times is remarkable, but that is just too crazy to depend on even with the great odds available for Monday night's game.
I believe it's a toss-up between Johnson and Claypool, so I'll roll with Johnson since he offers far more bang for the buck at +1000.
