The 1990s were a magical time to be alive. Not only could you stuff your face with Squeezits and Dunkaroos whenever you liked, but you could also spend your evenings and weekends watching the finest two-sport stars to roam the planet.
There was former Heisman Trophy winner Bo Jackson, who played in the Pro Bowl and the MLB All-Star Game. There was Brian Jordan, who crushed baseballs with the St. Louis Cardinals and crushed humans with the Atlanta Falcons. And who could forget Deion Sanders, who once took a helicopter from an NFL game to join the Atlanta Braves for the National League Championship Series? Their feats were exceptional at the time, but they’re even more remarkable now in an era of increased specialization.
