Steelers vs. Vikings: The best Kirk Cousins player prop bets for TNF
"Primetime Kirk Cousins" is a popular joke, but he's had success recently on Thursday Night Football. How will he fare tonight against the Pittsburgh Steelers?
We've examined the matchup closely and have the three best player prop bets for Kirk Cousins below.
Over/Under 1.5 passing touchdowns
Despite Minnesota's pedestrian 5-7 record, Cousins has had a great year throwing the football. He has 25 passing touchdowns to only three interceptions. That is over two touchdowns per game through the air. He has thrown for two or more passing touchdowns in nine of his 12 games this season.

However, in his lone career game against the Steelers in 2016, he failed to throw for a touchdown in a 38-16 loss. In his career on Thursday Night Football, he has 12 touchdowns through the air in seven games. Both are signs to take the Under here.
In addition, the Pittsburgh defense has been fantastic at keeping quarterbacks from completing passing touchdowns. They have only allowed 17 passing touchdowns this season, which is sixth in the NFL. They have only allowed five quarterbacks to go Over this mark in 12 games. All of this combined with usual low-scoring Thursday night games makes me love the Under here.
Pick: Under 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-103)
Over/Under 249.5 Passing Yards
Not only is Cousins having a great year in passing efficiency, he is also having a great year in yardage total through the air. He is averaging 279.4 yards per game, which is the most he has averaged in his four years in Minnesota, and the second most in his seven seasons as a starter in the NFL.
In the lone career game against Pittsburgh in 2016, Cousins threw for 329 yards despite being blown out. He also averages 317.4 passing yards per game on Thursday Night Football in his seven career games.

The Steelers are middle of the road when it comes to passing yards allowed in the NFL. They allow 233.2 yards per game, which ranks 14th in the league. Even though I predict a low-scoring game and less than two touchdowns for Cousins, I love the Over on yardage because I believe he will get his opportunities to move the ball down the field through the air on this defense.
Pick: Over 249.5 Passing Yards (-115)
Over/Under 33.5 Pass Attempts
Cousins is averaging 37.2 pass attempts per game this season. This is much higher than where this total is currently sitting at. He has gone Over this total in nine of his 12 games this season. He also attempted 43 passes in that one game against the Steelers in 2016.
The Steelers allow 33.3 pass attempts per game this year, which is right on this number. With Dalvin Cook out and the offense that the Vikings have been running this year, I'm taking the Over with confidence.
Pick: Over 33.5 Pass Attempts (-114)
