SNF Week 12: Bears vs. Packers odds, preview, and pick
The NFL’s most celebrated rivalry will add another chapter on Sunday night (8:20 p.m. ET, NBC) as the Chicago Bears (5-5) visit the Green Bay Packers (7-3) at Lambeau Field. Will Aaron Rodgers and company add to their NFC North lead, or will the Bears help underdog bettors cash? Here’s our betting preview.
Frigid forecast
The National Weather Service is calling for a chance of snow showers and a low temperature of 25 degrees for Sunday night in Green Bay. This forecast is not conducive to the passing game, or Over bettors.
Who will quarterback for the Bears?
The headache that the Bears gave themselves this offseason is progressively getting worse.
Nick Foles, whom Chicago traded for to light a fire under erstwhile prospect Mitchell Trubisky, was carted off late last week against the Minnesota Vikings. Foles is believed to be nursing a minor hip/glute injury, while Trubisky is still recovering from a shoulder injury suffered on Nov. 1.
Chicago QBs Mitch Trubisky (shoulder) and Nick Foles (hip) are still dealing with injuries, and Bears’ HC Matt Nagy declined to name a starter for Sunday’s game in Green Bay, saying a QB change is still "on the table."

No matter who lines up under center for the Bears, it’s tough to envision their offense doing much of anything at Lambeau Field on Sunday night. Chicago is 25th in the NFL in passing yards in 2020, and dead-last in rushing.
Bears and Packers statistics and rankings
Team | Passing Yards | Rushing Yards | Passing Yards Allowed | Rushing Yards Allowed |

Chicago Bears | 222.7 (25th) | 78.2 (32nd) | 225.0 (10th) | 115.1 (14th) |
Green Bay Packers | 277.0 (6th) | 115.9 (14th) | 230.6 (13th) | 113.7 (13th) |
Bears defense has recipe for success against Packers
Though their offense may not hold up their end of the bargain, the Bears’ stoppers typically fare well against the Packers’ offense.

Green Bay has scored only 23 points per game over their last 10 meetings with Chicago. The Packers have been limited to a modest 215 passing yards per game over that span, spelling trouble for Rodgers on Sunday night.
Trends favor the Under
Not only have the Bears lost four in a row (1-3 against the spread) going into this matchup, they’ve also failed to cover in each of their last six games following a bye.
The Packers are 14-6 against the spread in their last 20 matchups with Chicago. However, Green Bay has dropped five straight against the spread when favored by more than seven points.
It’s easier to be confident in the Under on Sunday night. The Bears have gone below the total in six of their last seven overall, and the Under is 12-3 in Chicago’s last 15 games as a road underdog.
The Under is 9-3 in the Packers’ last 12 divisional games.
Predicted score: Packers 24, Bears 17
NFL pick: Under
