Seahawks vs. 49ers: NFL Week 4 betting odds, preview, and pick
The San Francisco 49ers will host the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, and both teams will look to get back on the winning track.
Let's examine this NFC West matchup, beginning with the latest betting odds.
Seattle needs a win
It is early in the season to say this is a must-win for Seattle, but a 1-3 record in the competitive NFC West will be hard to come back from, especially since the next game for the Seahawks is a Thursday-night matchup with the undefeated Los Angeles Rams.
Offense has not been the problem for the Seahawks. They only have one turnover through the first three weeks, rank ninth in passing yards, and 11th in rushing yards.
The defense is another story.
I have always loved this play design and hope the #49ers steal it. #Vikings taking advantage of a #Seahawks defense playing very aggressive early.

The Seattle defense ranks last in yards allowed and 21st in points allowed. It is ranked 30th in rushing yards allowed, including a rough, 212-yard performance against the Tennessee Titans.
The Seahawks need to turn it around immediately against a 49ers team that is known for its run game, no matter who is in the backfield.
Jimmy G is not going away
Everyone expecting to see Trey Lance take over as the starting quarterback for the 49ers may be out of luck, considering how Jimmy Garoppolo has performed through the first three weeks of the season. Lance is still the future, but Jimmy G gives the 49ers the best chance to be a Super Bowl contender.
Garoppolo has averaged 253.3 passing yards per game, with a quarterback rating of 101.2. He also has thrown for four touchdowns and only one interception and proved he can be trusted in clutch situations, even in a losing effort to the Green Bay Packers.

The 49ers took over possession against Green Bay with just more than two minutes left, at their own 25-yard line and down by six points. Garoppolo led the team down the field to score a touchdown with 37 seconds left. Unfortunately, that was still too much time for Aaron Rodgers, but that is not Garoppolo's fault.

Seahawks and 49ers betting trends
- Seattle is 9-3 ATS in its last 12 games as a road underdog.
- Seattle is 13-5-1 ATS in its last 19 meetings with San Francisco.
- The Over is 5-0-1 in the last six meetings between these teams
- San Fransisco is 5-21-1 ATS in its last 27 games as a home favorite.
- San Fransisco is 1-4 ATS in its last five home games.
Wilson is "DangeRuss" in this spot
Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson will find himself in two favorable situations Sunday. He is 20-11-2 ATS as a road underdog and 26-14-4 ATS off a loss.
Wilson will exploit the injuries in the San Francisco secondary and will come away with a win. I also like the Over, because the 49ers will be able to score on Seattle’s defense.
Score prediction: Seahawks 38, 49ers 31
NFL Week 4 picks: Seahawks +3, Over 52
