Rams vs. Giants: NFL Week 6 betting odds, preview, and pick
The New York Giants will host the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday in a matchup of two teams on opposite ends of the standings in the NFC.
Let's examine this matchup, beginning with the latest betting odds.
Stafford is fitting right in with Rams
The Rams made a somewhat risky move this offseason when they moved on from former No. 1 pick Jared Goff, and traded him for veteran Matthew Stafford. Los Angeles believed they were ready to win, and needed a quarterback that was ready with them. It's still early, but Stafford has not disappointed.
Stafford is averaging 317.4 passing yards per game to go along with 12 touchdowns to only three interceptions. He is also averaging an astounding 9.2 yards per attempt and is third in the league with a 113.2 passer rating. The most important stat, however, is his 4-1 record.

Stafford has had success against the Giants in his career with a 3-2 record and an average of 261 passing yards. In his most recent matchup in 2019, he threw for 342 yards and three touchdowns in a 31-26 victory. New York has the league's 22nd ranked passing defense, and has already allowed 10 passing touchdowns this year.
Giants can't catch a break
Despite their 1-4 record, the Giants had been competitive in every game this season until their beatdown in Dallas on Sunday. Injuries have played a massive role in their defeats, as they lost two of their top receiving targets in Darius Slayton and Sterling Shepard just as they were getting back Evan Engram.
Then this past weekend, Daniel Jones went out with a concussion while the game was 13-10 late in the second quarter. To make matters even worse, Saquon Barkley was carted off the field with an ankle injury.

The Giants defense has struggled this year after showing strong signs of improvement last season. New York will need to step up soon, because the NFC East is not going to be won with a below .500 record this season.

Rams and Giants betting trends
- The Rams are 0-4 ATS vs. a team with a losing record
- The Rams are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 meetings
- The road team is 4-0 ATS in their last four meetings
- The Over is 5-0 in the Rams' last five games following a straight-up win
- The Giants are 0-4 ATS in their last four home games vs. a team with a winning road record
- The Under is 6-0 in the Giants' last six home games
Injuries will be key
The Rams are the more talented team when both clubs are at full strength. And when the Rams are at full strength and the Giants are missing half of their offense and several key defenders… the talent gap is larger than the Grand Canyon.
The Giants have struggled all year to stop the pass, and Stafford will be salivating to attack them all over the field with the likes of Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods. Even if Daniel Jones is cleared to play, he could be without hist starting running back and his top four wideouts! The Rams' defense is tough enough without missing weapons against them.
This one could be a blowout despite the Rams having to travel east for a 1 p.m. local kickoff time. The Rams are 11-3 in 1 p.m. ET Sunday games under Sean McVay. Give me the Rams all day, every day.
