Raiders vs. Chargers: The best player prop bets for MNF

The Raiders are in search of their first 4-0 start since 2002, the year they most recently went to the Super Bowl. To accomplish this, they’ll have to go into SoFi Stadium and beat the AFC West-rival Los Angeles Chargers, who are riding high following their road upset of the Kansas City Chiefs.

When these teams last met, it was a Thursday night in Week 15 of 2020, and they played to an unforgettable 30-27 overtime decision in favor of the Chargers. What does fate have in store on Monday night? Let’s start finding out as we highlight our three favorite player props for this contest.

Touchdown scorer: Peyton Barber

Raiders running back Josh Jacobs (toe, ankle) could miss his second straight game, or at the very least be limited in the amount of action he sees on the field in this one. That opens the door for Peyton Barber to have another big game.

Barber rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries against the Miami Dolphins last week. His “downhill” style of running makes him a very appealing option for Las Vegas head coach Jon Gruden on the goal line. Don’t be surprised if Barber finds the end zone at some point on Monday night.

Touchdown scorer: Keenan Allen

Keenan Allen has been L.A. quarterback Justin Herbert’s favorite target this year, as he’s seen 33 passes flung his way through three games. It's easy to envision them linking up in the end zone for the second straight game.

Allen has been a consistent touchdown producer in his career, and he led his team in touchdown grabs last season with eight. But he surprisingly only has one in 2021, while teammate Mike Williams has four. That discrepancy should begin to work itself out in this tilt.

Austin Ekeler Over/Under 95.5 rushing and receiving yards

Chargers tailback Austin Ekeler enters Monday night off two straight games with 100 or more all-purpose yards, but that streak should end against the Raiders.

Ekeler was limited to 79 all-purpose yards when these teams met in Week 15 of last season. Through three games this year, the Las Vegas defense is 12th in rushing yards allowed to running backs (77.7 per game), and eighth in receiving yards (31.7). Ekeler was matched up against much less stout opposition in the Dallas Cowboys and Chiefs defenses over his last two games.
