Packers vs. Cardinals: The best player prop bets for TNF
The 6-1 Green Bay Packers were hit with a major setback, when they learned wide receivers Davante Adams and Adam Lazard will sit out this week's Thursday Night Football matchup against the undefeated Arizona Cardinals.
The two receivers, who tested positive for COVID-19 this week, combined for 136 yards and two scores in Green Bay's 24-10 win over Washington on Sunday and would have played key roles in Thursday's matchup against the NFL's third-best passing defense.
Now, running back Aaron Jones must step up his game and expose one of the Cardinals' few weaknesses, which is stopping the run.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers will also need to balance the offense, with the receivers left at his disposal, including offseason acquisition Randall Cobb.
Rodgers has faced Arizona six times, including the postseason, and has defeated his opponent twice (in 2010 and 2012).
With that in mind, let's further examine Week 8's Thursday Night Football battle between the Green Bay Packers and Arizona Cardinals and explore the three best player props to bet.
Kyler Murray: Over/Under 274.5 passing yards
Rodgers' counterpart Thursday, dual-threat QB Kyler Murray, may be without his star receiver, as well.
Veteran wideout DeAndre Hopkins — who ranks first on his team in targets (47), receiving yards (420), and touchdowns (seven) — has not participated in practice because of a hamstring injury and is at risk of being sidelined on a short week.

Without Hopkins, Murray will turn to receivers A.J. Green, Christian Kirk, and rookie Rondale Moore, plus mid-season addition Zach Ertz.
But even with that assortment of talent, Arizona will likely rely on its ground game, as Green Bay ranks sixth against the pass (210.6 yards per game) but gives up 120.9 rushing yards per outing, which ranks 22nd.
Murray, the MVP frontrunner, has not surpassed 275 passing yards since Week 3, against Jacksonville, and has averaged 249 passing yards and 30 pass attempts over his last four games.
With the open lanes Arizona will find against Green Bay's run defense, Murray won't have to do much through the air.
Look for him to throw for fewer than 275 yards for the fifth straight week.
Pick: Under 274.5 passing yards (-115)
Aaron Jones: Over/Under 58.5 rushing yards
The Cardinals boast a similar defense to Green Bay's and will have their work cut out for them against Jones.
The versatile back only rushed for 19 yards on six carries against Washington's top 10 run stop unit, but topped 59 rushing yards in his two previous games.
In a win over Chicago, Jones racked up 76 yards on 13 carries, and he celebrated his first 100-yard outing of the season against another top 10 run defense, Cincinnati.
Sunday was the first time in team history the that the Packers had a 300-yard passer (Aaron Rodgers, 344), a 200-yard receiver (Davante Adams, 206) a 100-yard rusher (Aaron Jones, 103) in the same game.

Jones has exceeded 59 rushing yards in four of his seven games and will be called upon enough times in this matchup to top 59 rushing yards against the Cardinals front seven.
Pick: Over 58.5 rushing yards (-114)
James Conner: Anytime touchdown scorer
As for Arizona's rushing attack, Chase Edmonds may be averaging more yards per carry, but James Conner has emerged as the go-to guy at the goal line.
Through his last five games, Conner has reached the end zone six times and scored on an 18-yard run in last week's 31-5 win over Houston.
The Packers have surrendered at least one rushing touchdown in four of their last five games and have yet to face a rushing attack as good as Arizona's.
With injuries to linebacker Preston Smith and defensive linemen Kenny Clark and Dean Lowry, Green Bay is at greater risk of exposure against the Cardinals and will allow Conner to score his seventh touchdown of the season.
Pick: James Conner to score a touchdown (+110)
