NFL Wild Card round: Quick picks for most passing yards and more
For the first time in NFL history, there will be six Wild Card weekend tilts. BetAmerica offers several intriguing prop bets encompassing the entire slate of games – let’s dig into a trio of them.
Favorites for most passing yards
Name | Odds |
---|
Josh Allen | +300 |
Tom Brady | +350 |
Ben Roethlisberger | +550 |
Drew Brees | +800 |
Philip Rivers | +900 |
Most passing yards
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen (+300) is a logical favorite to tally the most passing yards this weekend based on recent performances. He threw for no fewer than 320 yards in three of his last four games going into Week 17, when he was removed after a fabulous first half in which he recorded 224 passing yards. His opponent, the Indianapolis Colts, are 20th in stopping the aerial attack.
However, Pittsburgh Steelers signal caller Ben Roethlisberger (+550) does not have the type of rushing attack that Allen can lean on, meaning he’ll be generating most of his team’s attack against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday night.

Roethlisberger should be rejuvenated after resting for Week 17’s affair with the Browns. The Steelers generated 309 passing yards with Mason Rudolph under center last week and should do better than that on their home turf this time around.

Most receiving yards
Bills wide-out Stefon Diggs (+400) recorded the most receiving yards in the NFL this season, and his nearest competitor playing this weekend is DK Metcalf (+2000), who finished sixth. It seems almost disrespectful that Diggs is just a modest favorite in this market.

Diggs had seven 100-yard games in 2020, including three in a row before being removed early in Week 17. He should have another excellent game against the Colts’ stoppers on Saturday afternoon.

Most team points
The disparity between the Baltimore Ravens (+350) and Tennessee Titans (+900) in this market seems ridiculous. The Titans are at home and are just three-point underdogs, yet are nearly triple the price of their Wild Card round opponent.

Tennessee was the fourth-highest scoring team in the NFL this year (30.7 points per game), and notched 30 or more points in six of their last seven games to close out the campaign. Take Derrick Henry and company at a nice price.
