NFL Week 10 betting tips: Why it’s worth backing Carson Wentz
This weekend’s slate of NFL games clash with the rescheduled Masters in Augusta, which sets us up for an absolute feast of sports to enjoy on Sunday. Let’s get straight into the best NFL Week 10 prop bets for Sunday afternoon.
Aaron Jones rushing yards
Aaron Jones returned to the Packers’ backfield last week and didn’t miss a beat as he picked up 79 yards from scrimmage against a decent 49ers defense. Now with an additional 10 days rest, Jones is set to be back firing on all cylinders and has a fantastic matchup against the Jags.
Jacksonville have been giving up an average of 31 points per game to opposing teams and their rush defense is ranked a lowly 27th in the NFL. The Jags have been no strangers in giving up huge games to lead running backs with D’Andre Swift (116 yards), David Johnson (96 yards), Joe Mixon (151 yards), and Derrick Henry (84 yards) all feasting on their weak defense.

Running backs have averaged a strong 30 touches per game against the Jags, and even if Jamaal Williams eats into this a touch, you’d still expect Jones to potentially get 18+ touches. He could blow up in a big way at Lambeau Field.
Pick: Aaron Jones Over 68.5 rushing yards (-115)
Carson Wentz passing yards
The Eagles are coming off their bye week and that is helping me forget Carson Wentz’s last outing. Wentz threw for just 123 passing yards and two interceptions against the Dallas Cowboys in a game the Eagles won despite Wentz’s wobbles.
The good news this week is two-fold. Firstly, he is up against the Giants. New York has one of the stoutest run defenses in the league, so Wentz may look to air it out more. In Week 7 he attempted 43 passes against the Giants and racked up more than 350 yards. Secondly, he has a full set of weapons available to him as the Eagles offense starts to get healthy. Alshon Jeffery, Jalen Reagor, and Dallas Goedert are back to join the in-form Travis Fulgham. For the first time all season Wentz’s arsenal is looking strong and healthy.

The Week 9 bye will hopefully have given the Eagles offensive coaching staff some additional time to prep for the 2-7 Giants, who have allowed opposing QBs an average of 265 passing yards per game this season.
Pick: Carson Wentz Over 252.5 passing yards (-115)
Mike Davis rushing yards
Christian McCaffrey has had no luck with injuries this season and in Week 9 he suffered a shoulder injury against the Chiefs, which means Carolina will turn to Mike Davis again for their game against the Buccaneers.
While Davis has previously done a solid job in McCaffrey’s absence, it won’t be the same against Tampa Bay, who have by far the strongest run defense in the league. In fact, the 89 yards they gave up to Saints running backs in Week 9 was the most they’ve allowed in a single game. Only the Green Bay Packers managed more than 3.6 yards per carry against the Bucs.

The Panthers have met the Bucs three times since last December, and McCaffrey has been the lead back managing just 59 yards, 31 yards, and 37 yards in those games. Given Davis is a step down from CMC and Carolina is likely to take to the air in this matchup, backing the under here is a safe choice.
Pick: Mike Davis Under 53.5 rushing yards (-135)
