The most intriguing NFL wide receiver prop bets
Some of the NFL’s best receivers have seen a change in scenery recently — with a new team, coach, and/or quarterback in the offseason — which could benefit or hinder their production in 2020.
Below are some of the most intriguing wide receiver player props available at BetAmerica, including total receiving yards and touchdowns for DeAndre Hopkins, Mike Evans, Stefon Diggs, and more.
DeAndre Hopkins, Arizona Cardinals
Player prop | Odds |
---|
DeAndre Hopkins receiving yards | Over 1,249.5 (-120), Under 1,249.5 (+100) |
DeAndre Hopkins TDs | Over/Under 9.5 (-110) |
Hopkins has led the Houston Texans in receiving yards since 2014, with four different quarterbacks (Ryan Fitzpatrick, Brian Hoyer, Brock Osweiler, and Deshaun Watson). The Texans traded Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals, where he’ll play with second-year quarterback Kyler Murray in head coach Kliff Kingsbury’s air raid offense.
Hopkins will compete for touches with Larry Fitzgerald and Christian Kirk, who combined for 1,513 yards on 143 receptions in 2019. Running back Kenyan Drake also proved a smart pickup from Miami in October and racked up eight rushing touchdowns through as many games for the Cardinals.
Hopkins tallied 1,165 yards and seven touchdowns on 104 catches during the 2019 regular season. Watson targeted him 150 times, 79 more than No. 2 receiver Will Fuller, who played 11 games.
The 27-year-old wideout is considered one of the best in the league, and defenses will game plan accordingly. With Hopkins sharing the load with Fitzgerald, Kirk, and Drake, it'll be difficult for him to surpass 1,250 yards in 2020.
NFL free pick: Under 1,249.5 yards, Under 9.5 touchdowns
Chris Godwin and Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

DeAndre Hopkins receiving yards | Over 1,249.5 (-120), Under 1,249.5 (+100) |
DeAndre Hopkins TDs | Over/Under 9.5 (-110) |
Godwin and Evans made for one of the most lethal receiving tandems in the NFL last season, though injuries hampered Evans’ effectiveness at times. They were the first pair of teammates to each record three games of 150 receiving yards or more in the same season. That occurred with Jameis Winston — the league leader in passing yards (5,109) and interceptions (30) — running the offense.

Now, Godwin and Evans have a new quarterback in command — six-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady. The former Patriot doesn’t possess the same arm strength as Winston, but his decision making is certainly an upgrade.
The Over/Under on Godwin and Evan’s receiving yards and touchdowns are set at 1,249.5 and 9.5, respectively. Much of their performance will hinge on Brady’s ability to adapt to Bruce Arians’ system, which often relies on the deep ball. Brady comes from a Pats system that called for short to intermediate passes.
Arians may adjust his offense to work around Brady’s abilities, which would change the dynamic Godwin and Evans have been accustomed to.
Last year Godwin led the team with 1,333 yards and nine scores on 86 catches through 14 games, while Evans accumulated 1,157 yards and eight TDs on 67 catches through 13 games. Godwin was primarily featured as a slot receiver and could appeal more to Brady, whose favorite target in New England was slot man Julian Edelman.
Chances are Godwin will benefit far more from Brady’s move to Tampa Bay than Evans and will repeat as the team’s leading receiver in 2020.
NFL free pick: Godwin Over 1,249.5, Evans Under 1,249.5 yards
Stefon Diggs, Buffalo Bills
Player prop | Odds |

DeAndre Hopkins receiving yards | Over 1,249.5 (-120), Under 1,249.5 (+100) |
DeAndre Hopkins TDs | Over/Under 9.5 (-110) |
Diggs will play with a new team for the first time in his pro career, after the Bills acquired him via trade in mid-March from the Vikings.
Diggs reeled in a team-high 1,130 yards and six TDs on 63 receptions from Vikes QB Kirk Cousins in 2019. The wideout will now join John Brown and Cole Beasley in the Bills offense, which is piloted by Josh Allen.

Brown registered 1,060 receiving yards last season, and Beasley totaled 778, as the two were targeted a combined 221 times. The next-most targeted player on the team, tight end Dawson Knox, only saw 50 passes thrown his way.
Diggs should emerge as the No. 1 receiver in Buffalo, and he’ll be a much more reliable option, with a 67% catch rate. As long as Allen continues to progress from his second to third year, Diggs should enjoy another 1,000-yard season and help put Buffalo in the forefront of the AFC East.
NFL free pick: Over 1,049.5 yards, Over 6.5 TDs
Adam Thielen, Minnesota Vikings
Player prop | Odds |
---|
DeAndre Hopkins receiving yards | Over 1,249.5 (-120), Under 1,249.5 (+100) |
DeAndre Hopkins TDs | Over/Under 9.5 (-110) |
Thielen led the Vikings with 1,373 yards in 2018, which topped teammate Stefon Diggs by 352 yards, even though Thielen was targeted just four more times.
Thielen should’ve been Cousins’ main man again in 2019, but injuries limited the receiver to just 10 games in the regular season. The 29-year-old finished with 418 yards and six scores on 30 receptions in the Vikings’ new-look, run-focused offense.
Diggs ranked first in receiving yards (1,130), and running back Dalvin Cook landed in second, with 519. With Diggs out of the picture in 2020, Thielen should bounce back as the No. 1 receiver in Minnesota, but his durability is a concern.
Most NFL receivers peak between the ages of 25 and 27. Only three players age 30 or older finished with more than 1,000 receiving yards in 2019 (Julian Edelman, Julio Jones, and Travis Kelce).
Father Time isn’t on Thielen’s side, but he showed promise in the 2019 playoffs, when he gained 129 yards on seven receptions in the Vikings’ wild-card victory over New Orleans.
If he can play a full season, Thielen is skilled enough to overcome his age, but 1,200 yards is a reach.
NFL free pick: Under 1,199.5 yards, Over 7.5 TDs
