Jets vs. Patriots: NFL Week 7 betting odds, preview, and pick
The New England Patriots will seek their 12th straight win against their AFC East rival, the New York Jets, when the two clash in a Week 7 showdown at Gillette Stadium on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
Turnover battle will determine second meeting of the season
These two franchises already met this season, in Week 2 at MetLife Stadium, where New England humiliated rookie Zach Wilson in a 25-6 beatdown.
The No. 2 overall pick had little hope against Bill Belichick, who is 22-6 against rookie quarterbacks since he became head coach of the Patriots in 2000.
In Wilson's first matchup against the six-time Super Bowl-winning coach, he completed 19 of his 33 passes for 210 yards and recorded a season-high four interceptions.

All but one of those picks resulted in points for the other team and two occurred during New York's first two drives of the game.
Wilson has thrown at least one interception in each game this season and a total of nine (the most in the league).
The Jets will come in fresh off a bye week, but Wilson's turnover issues are likely to return against a defense tied for 10th in the league in takeaways (10).
Jones' mistakes haunt Pats in Week 6 overtime defeat
New England has its turnover issues, as well, but enjoyed a clean outing against New York in Week 2.
Rookie quarterback Mac Jones, who was selected 15th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, completed 22 of his 30 passes for 186 yards, while running backs Damien Harris and James White ran the ball into the end zone for a pair of scores.
Jones was turnover free in Week 2 but posted a three-interception outing the following week, against New Orleans. He has since thrown at least one interception per game, including a costly pick returned for a touchdown in the final three minutes of a 35-29 overtime loss to Dallas on Sunday.
Jones also lost a fumble against the Cowboys to bring New England's total number of giveaways this season to 11 (third most in the NFL).
The Patriots were outgained by Dallas, 567 yards to 335, but held the Cowboys to three third-down conversions on 13 attempts.
Harris also celebrated his first 100-yard rushing day since Week 1 and ran for a season-high 5.6 yards per carry against a Dallas defense that ranks fifth (86.2 yards per game) against the run.

For comparison, the Jets surrender 123.4 yards per outing (21st in the league) and 1.4 rushing touchdowns (29th).

Jets will fall a second time to their AFC East rival
After a 26-0 shutout by Denver in Week 3, the Jets upset the shorthanded Tennessee Titans, 27-24, in overtime and played Atlanta close in London.
New York is making strides but has a long way to go to become a legitimate threat in the league.
In the Jets' Week 5 battle against Atlanta, they gained just 80 yards in the first half, while the Falcons tallied 251 yards and 17 first downs during the same period.
New England has already figured out Wilson's weaknesses and will exploit them from the start in this matchup, just as the defense did in Week 2.
The New York rushing attack will keep the Jets in the game, but the home team will wreak havoc against an opponent it has terrorized for the last decade.
