Boost the Bankroll: NFL Four-Team Teaser Play for the Divisional Round of NFL Playoffs
The final eight teams will compete in this weekend’s Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs, and YouBet has picks for the big four games
Texans at Chiefs (4:30 p.m. Saturday): Under 41.5 points
The Chiefs may dominate, but they’re eligible to experience some rust following a three-week layoff (starters rested in regular season finale) and we expect a low-scoring output from both teams. Texans lack a viable run offense and often find themselves in third-and-long situations due to inconsistent play from C.J. Stroud, but defense remains a strength. Houston flexed their defensive muscles last week, forcing four turnovers and limiting the Chargers to 12 points, and the Chiefs have scored 21 points or less in six of the last eight games. Both teams are well outside the top 10 in terms of scoring offense, and we will side with the Under.
Commanders at Lions (8:15 p.m. Saturday): Commanders +9.5
Lions pass defense showed their vulnerabilities late in season, surrendering 362 passing yards to Buffalo, 329 passing yards to Chicago, and 400 passing yards to San Francisco before being bailed out in the regular season finale by Sam Darnold, who missed at least 10 open receivers and seemingly couldn’t hit water from a boat. Commanders will have success moving the ball against the league’s 29th-ranked pass defense. Washington enters on a six-game win streak, regaining their best form after dropping three straight in November, and we love the grittiness they displayed winning narrowly at Tampa last week. Jalen Daniels looks poised for a big performance, and the points are attractive in a game that could be easily decided by a touchdown or less.
Rams at Eagles (3 p.m. Sunday): Rams +6
Rams have extra motivation after being embarrassed by the Eagles at home in Week 12, surrendering 491 total yards in a lopsided 37-20 defeat. They got their mojo back after the ugly performance, winning the next five games, and after resting starters in the season finale, Rams jumped out to a 24-3 halftime advantage on the Vikings in the wild card round. We loved how the defense recorded nine sacks, 10 tackles for a loss, and two takeaways last week, and Matt Stafford won’t be mistake-prone like Jordan Love, who failed to show up in Philadelphia last week. Eagles don’t own a high-powered offense, they’re 2-3 ATS when laying six or more points this season, and Rams 5-0 ATS in their last five road games. Los Angeles will carry their momentum forward in a projected close game.
Ravens at Bills (6:30 p.m. Sunday): Ravens -1
The Ravens were 7-4, two games behind the Steelers, after an ugly 18-16 loss in Week 11 at Pittsburgh but they turned things around, establishing themselves as viable Super Bowl contenders by winning six of the next seven games to capture the AFC North. They’ve averaged 32.6 points over the last five games, and Baltimore put up 299 rushing yards last week, with Lamar Jackson completing 16 of 21 passes for two touchdowns and no interceptions. Bills defense will struggle to stop their high-powered offense. This promises to be an exciting affair, with Buffalo ranking second in scoring (30.9 points per game), but the Ravens ground game will be the difference.
