Locks of the Week
Scott: Browns vs. Patriots (Under) The Patriots defense has been historically elite to start the 2019 season and I expect them to have their way once again on Sunday against Cleveland. The Browns defense should be much healthier off the bye week allowing them to contain a New England offense that has done enough to win games, but has been far from eye-popping through their first seven games. Look for both defenses to control the line of scrimmage and keep this under the total.Rohit: Packers -4.5 The Chiefs offense will be in a tough spot after losing last year's NFL MVP in Patrick Mahomes. Matt Moore will have a hard time moving the ball against a vastly improved Packers pass defense while KC lacks a consistent ground game to take advantage of Green Bay's weak run defense. On the other side of the ball, Aaron Rodgers is coming off his best performance of the season and the Packers' running game has been effective as well. They should be able to put up points against a Chiefs defense that allows 377.4 yards per game.
Ben: Seahawks -3.5 The Seahawks should be safe bet no matter who is under center. The Falcons defense is getting obliterated right now and the Seattle offense will be looking to get back on track. Pete Carroll may show mercy on his former coach, but winning by 10 points should be easy for a West Coast team that is surprisingly successful in the 1:00 pm kickoff slot.
