Locks of the Week
Scott: Bears +4.5 Chicago lost to Green Bay in Week 1, 10-3, and have not been nearly as successful in 2019 as their longtime rival. However, they are a desperate team and head north to Lambeau Field playing their best football of the year. The Packers may have 10 wins through 13 games, but they are limited on offense despite having Aaron Rodgers under center and have holes on defense when they are not forcing the opposition into mistakes. Look for this NFC North battle to come down to the wire. Give me the points.Adam: Bills +2 The Steelers have won three straight, but those wins have been against the Bengals, Browns and Cardinals, and the offense has managed just 16.5 points per game the last four weeks against low-level competition. It will be considerably harder against the Bills and their No. 3-ranked defense. Buffalo is 5-0-1 ATS on the road.
Rohit: Seattle -5.5 Expect Seattle to bounce back from a big loss by continuing their road success (5-2 ATS) against a Carolina squad that has officially been eliminated from the postseason. The Panthers have the worst run defense in the league in terms of DVOA and will be going up against a Seahawks team that averages 140.8 rushing yards per contest. On the other side of the ball, Carolina's QB Kyle Allen won't be able to take advantage of Seattle's vulnerable pass defense.
Ben: Bills +2.5 The job that the Steelers have done this season has been incredible, but this line is just plain wrong to me. Yes, the Bills have not beaten anyone good this year, but all the metrics tell me they should be narrow favorites this week. Give me the road dog in this one.
