Locks of the Week
Scott: Bears (-2.5) The Bears enter Sunday on a four-game losing streak, but I like their chances to end the skid against Detroit. The Lions struggle to run the ball and their defense ranks in the bottom six in the NFL against both the pass and the run. Look for Mitchell Trubisky to have his best game of the year in this get-right spot for Chicago.Adam: Bills (+3) The 2-6 Browns are in disarray, especially their offense with just two games scoring more than 19 points. Buffalo has allowed more than 16 points on just two occasions, and the Bills have won and covered all three road games. Devin Singletary, Frank Gore and QB Josh Allen should have a big day against the Browns’ No. 30 run defense. The offense can build a lead and the third-ranked defense can keep Cleveland in check.
Rohit: Panthers vs. Packers (Over 46.5) The Packers are coming off a pathetic offensive performance against the Chargers and will be heavily motivated to bounce back at home. Aaron Rodgers is still one of the best QBs in the business while Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams should have no problems running rampant against a Panthers rush defense which is dead-last in the league in DVOA. The Packers aren't much better in defensive rushing DVOA, ranking 26th, and will be facing an elite RB in Christian McCaffrey.
Ben: Chiefs (-5.5) My lock this week is the Chiefs, especially if Patrick Mahomes is back under center for them. At 5.5 this line is about right if Matt Moore is under center according to my YPP model. With Mahomes under center it should be closer to a touchdown. Additionally, per statschecker, the Chiefs are 3-1 ATS on the road this season.
