Cardinals vs. Cowboys: The best betting props for MNF
As is the new normal for the NFL in 2020, we have yet another double header on Monday night. In this article we'll zero in on the original Monday Night Football game here between the Arizona Cardinals and the Dallas Cowboys.
The Cardinals are looking to keep rolling after defeating the New York Jets and ended a two-game losing streak. The Cowboys, meanwhile, had another exciting game come down to the wire as they defeated the New York Giants on a late field goal.
Here are the best betting props for the Week 6 Monday Night Football showdown between the Cardinals and Cowboys.
Kyler Murray passing yards
This will be the Monday Night Football debut for the former Heisman Trophy winner. In fact, Murray has only played one other primetime game in his NFL career. That was a Week 9 Thursday Night Football game in San Francisco last season. The 49ers held on to win, but Murray and the Cardinals made a game out of it and looked impressive. Murray finished with 241 passing yards and two touchdowns to go along with 34 rushing yards on five attempts.
Thus far, this season, Murray is averaging 259.8 yards per game through the air and is coming off a game in which he threw for 380 yards against the Jets. The Cowboys are allowing an average of 248.6 yards per game through the air, which ranks 20th in the league. Murray is most often compared to Russell Wilson, and it should be noted Wilson threw for 315 yards against this secondary back in Week 3.

Murray’s rushing threat can sometimes lower his passing numbers, but the Cowboys have been strong against the quarterback run this season. Wilson only managed 22 yards and Daniel Jones, who is his team’s leading rusher, was held to -7 rushing yards. I like Murray to need to air it out in his Monday night debut and hit this Over.
Pick: Over 287.5 passing yards (-115)
Ezekiel Elliott rushing yards
Elliott is only averaging 72.8 rushing yards this season so far. However, a big part of that number is the effectiveness of the passing game and the need to put up points quick to make up for their defense. With the injury to Prescott, I expect the Cowboys to go back to their bread and butter and feed Zeke.

The number here is only 88.5 rushing yards. Elliott has met that number in every game this season in which he eclipsed 15 carries. Meanwhile, the Cardinals have not been great in stopping opposing rushing attacks. They currently rank 19th in the league at 124.2 yards allowed per game. They have also faced three teams in the bottom 11 in rushing offense.
I do not expect the Cowboys to abandon their passing game without Prescott, but there is no way Elliott does not get at least 20 carries in this game. He should have no issue hitting the Over with that volume.
Pick: Over 88.5 rushing yards (-115)
To score two or more touchdowns
This is a bet where I like to try to find some value. Sure, there are the usual names like Elliott, Kenyan Drake, and DeAndre Hopkins that are very likely to get two touchdowns in a high scoring game. However, I really like the chances of Murray getting two non-passing touchdowns in this one.
The #Sooners Heisman campaign for Kyler Murray was based off Bo Jackson’s famous two sport poster. Just dawned on me that this TD from K1 was somewhat similar to Bo’s famous TD & run up the tunnel against Seattle. pic.twitter.com/t4gCUhiKZC

He has scored a non-passing touchdown in every game except one this year, and he even got two touchdowns against the Washington Football Team in Week 2. While I like Murray to be more utilized through the passing game in the whole on Monday night, I expect him to utilize his feet in the red zone. There is a lot of value here for such a rushing threat.
Pick: Kyler Murray (+750)
