Buccaneers vs. Eagles: The best Jalen Hurts player prop bets for TNF
It has been a rollercoaster season for Jalen Hurts thus far. With three multi-touchdown games and two zero touchdown games, you never know what you are going to get.
Hurts will try to get Philadelphia back into contention in the NFC on Thursday night when the Eagles take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in primetime.
We've examined the matchup closely and have the three best prop bets for Hurts below.
Over/Under 7.5 Rushing attempts
There is not a lot of sample size here for the Tampa Bay defense as they have yet to face a running quarterback this season. However, there is plenty of sample size with Jalen Hurts’ career games.
Hurts has now started nine games in his NFL career and has 89 rushing attempts. That is just under 10 attempts per game, and he has gone Over this number in every game except one. The only game in which he went below this number was a 32-6 blowout victory in which he didn't need to run as much.

The combination of the Bucs' pass rush and the struggling offensive line of the Eagles leads me to believe Hurts will be on the run a lot in this game. Hurts has a strong history to back the Over here regardless of the final score of the game.
Pick: Over 7.5 Rushing Attempts (-150)
Over/Under 1.5 Touchdown Passes
Hurts has seven passing touchdowns through five games, but he has two games with no passing touchdowns at all. It seems to be boom or bust for him.
Tampa Bay’s defense got off to a rough start this year, allowing 29.3 points per game in the first three games. They also allowed three, two, and four passing touchdowns in each of those first three games. However, they have turned things around since, allowing only 17 points in each of the past two games.

I feel this game will be a low-scoring affair despite the current total of 52.5. The Eagles may get two touchdowns in this game, but for both to be passing touchdowns from Hurts just seems too unlikely to me. I'm on the Under here.
Pick: Under 1.5 Touchdowns (+120)
Over/Under 289.5 Passing Yards
Hurts has had two games with more than 325 passing yards and two games with less than 200 passing yards this season, and one game in the middle at 264.
The Bucs' defense is currently ranked last in the NFL in passing defense, as they have allowed 314.4 yards per game. However, the one game they have played that is most like the type of game I believe we'll see Thursday night was the Sunday Night Football game against the New England Patriots. They only allowed 275 passing yards to Mac Jones in that one.
The low scoring aspect of this game makes me like the Under here despite the poor Tampa pass defense. If this number was around the 270-mark I would shy away, but it's inflated due to the numbers the Bucs have allowed this season. Give me the Under.
Pick: Under 289.5 Rushing Yards (-114)
