Broncos vs. Cowboys: NFL Week 9 betting odds, preview, and pick
The Denver Broncos finally got back in the win column last week, snapping a four-game losing streak to level their season at 4-4.
Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys plugged in backup quarterback Cooper Rush on the road at Minnesota during Sunday Night Football to win their sixth in a row.
The Broncos and Cowboys now face one another in Week 9, and we’re here to break it down for you.
The Broncos are 4-4 straight up and 4-4 against the spread this season. They enter the game as an 8.5-point underdog against the 6-1 Cowboys, who are a league-leading 7-0 against the spread.
The total is set at 49.5, and the game will take place during the early window in Dallas. Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is expected to play.
Cowboys' explosive offense behind success
The Cowboys have won six straight games and are on a seven-game win streak against the spread, an impressive run that has been rewarding for supporting bettors.
The biggest reason for this success has been the offense, which is tied with the Los Angeles Rams for first in the NFL in yards per play.
Prescott has led the way and has a number of excellent skill players to distribute the football to.

What makes the Cowboys’ offense even more impressive is the fact it is just 11th in the NFL in pass plays over 25 yards, which indicates its success is coming on a steadier, more reliable basis.
Prescott is set to return from injury in Week 9, after he sat out last week and enjoyed a bye week following an injury in Week 6 at Philadelphia.
If he comes back fully recovered, the Cowboys’ high-octane offense should continue chugging along.

Beware Broncos backdoor cover
The Cowboys have a lot to like at this point in the season. They are dominating the NFC East and have ascended to a top spot in the conference, with an opportunity to make a run at the No. 1 seed.
The offense is leading the way as a covering machine, but the defense still has question marks. While Randy Gregory is starting to get pressure on opposing quarterbacks and rookie Micah Parsons is excelling, the entire unit is just 27th in the league in yards per play allowed.
With the Broncos getting stellar route-runner Jerry Jeudy back off injured reserve and other skill players getting ample opportunity through the first half of the season, the Broncos’ offense looks poised to stay within striking distance of this large spread.
Denver very likely doesn’t have the defense to completely shut down this Cowboys offense and win the game, but the backdoor will be wide open in this one for a road team that should be able to put up enough points to cover this spread in a shootout.
