49ers now third favorite to win Super Bowl
The odds of the San Francisco 49ers winning the Super Bowl continue to tumble after the team extended their unbeaten record to 8-0.
Bettors are rallying behind the Niners as genuine title contenders, moving their odds from +900 to +750 at BetAmerica following their Week 9 win over the Arizona Cardinals. After starting the season 18th in the order of betting at odds of +3500, San Francisco is now an outright 3rd favorite in BetAmerica’s Super Bowl market.
“We couldn’t write a bet for the Niners pre-season but our players keep chipping away at them with every win,” said BetAmerica President Ian Williams.
“With an in-form quarterback and one of the top defenses in the league we expect continued support for them to win in February.”
Standing in San Francisco’s path to the Super Bowl could be the Saints, with the NFC title favorites also well supported from +900 to +500 to win the championship.
The Patriots’ unbeaten start has seen their Super Bowl odds shorten from +625 to +190 since Week 1, while other big market movers at the halfway point of the regular season include the Packers (+2000 to +950), Vikings (+2800 to +1800) and Ravens (+3300 to +1800).
