3 prop bets for Commanders vs. Cowboys matchup on Thanksgiving
The Dallas Cowboys continue their annual tradition of hosting an NFL matchup on Thanksgiving Day with an NFC East showdown versus Washington.
Dallas is 32-22-1 on Thanksgiving since 1966 and snapped a three-game losing streak on the holiday with a 28-20 win over division rival New York on Turkey Day in 2022.
Dak Prescott and Co. are expected to extend their Thanksgiving win streak in Week 12, as Dallas is favored by 11 points at home over a 4-7 Commanders team that has lost four of their last five. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET.
YouBet will look at three prop bets to wager on for Thursday's matchup between the Commanders and Cowboys and create a three-leg, same-game parlay that you can play as a no-sweat bet at sportsbooks like DraftKings (opt-in required).

Dak Prescott Over 299.5 passing and rushing yards (-115)
The eight-year veteran was on a three-game streak of 300 or more passing yards before he put up just 189 on 25-of-38 passing against Carolina's sixth-ranked pass defense in a lopsided 33-10 victory over the NFC South bottom-dweller.
On Thursday, Prescott should see an uptick in yardage again as he faces a Commanders team that gives up 258.5 yards through the air (third most in the league) and has surrendered the sixth most rushing yards (260) to quarterbacks in 2023.
Aside from his Week 11 outing, in which Dallas had control of the game from the outset and built a 17-3 lead at the half, Prescott combined for at least 312 passing and rushing yards in his four games prior.
Washington's offense is the most pass-happy in the league as well (68.19% passing play percentage), so the Commanders will look to force a shootout on Thursday to hang with the Cowboys.
Take the Over on Prescott's rushing and receiving yards.
Brandin Cooks Over 35.5 receiving yards (-115)
Tenth-year veteran Brandin Cooks got off to a slow start in his first season with Dallas, but he had a standout performance in a Week 10 victory over New York when he caught nine of his 10 targets for 173 yards and a touchdown.
Cooks has recorded at least 36 receiving yards in all but one of his last five games; the exception was a seven-yard outing in which he caught one of two targets in a close loss to Philadelphia.
Washington's defense is allowing 7.3 yards per pass attempt (tied for fifth worst) and 12.2 passing first downs a game. Cooks should have ample opportunity to hit the Over on 35.5 receiving yards, especially with No. 1 receiver Ceedee Lamb potentially at less than 100% with a minor ankle injury.

Jake Ferguson anytime touchdown (+115)
Second-year tight end Jake Ferguson has filled in nicely for Dalton Schultz, now a member of the Houston Texans, as Ferguson ranks second on the team in receiving yards (386) and targets (55). Ferguson has also reached the end zone four times, the second most of any Cowboys receiver, and caught a receiving touchdown in three straight games prior to his Week 11 matchup with Carolina.
The Commanders have surrendered five touchdowns to tight ends this season, tied for second most in the league, and Ferguson has been targeted 17 times in the red zone, or 26.6% of Dallas' 64 red-zone pass attempts.
Look for the tight end to celebrate a touchdown on Thanksgiving.
