NCAAB: Ohio State and Oregon on upset watch
Don’t wait until late Friday night to see the spreads for Saturday. Start hunting for college basketball upsets now, with BetAmerica's weekly upset picks.
Indiana at Ohio State, noon ET (ESPN)
Ohio State once looked like the best team in the country. Since the start of the calendar year, however, the Buckeyes have looked more like the worst team in the Big Ten. Despite a 2-5 record in 2020, KenPom still loves the Buckeyes at No. 13 overall.
In front of a home crowd in Columbus, Ohio State will probably give a couple points against Indiana. Betting on Indiana away from Assembly Hall is asking to dance with the devil. This week I’m willing to do a little one-two step with the Hoosiers. They won by 12 in their previous meeting and are starting to piece together a solid NCAA Tournament résumé.

#25 Rutgers at Michigan. 4:30 p.m. ET (Big Ten Network)
Michigan was in the same spot last Saturday. Gifted an opportunity to get off the schneid against an overachieving No. 21 Illinois team, the Wolverines fell two points shy of an upset at home. After picking itself back up at Nebraska, Michigan is desperate for a significant Big Ten win. The crazy crowd at the Crisler Center will do just enough to carry the Wolverines to a narrow win over an overachieving Rutgers squad.
#14 Michigan State at Wisconsin, 1 p.m. ET (Fox)
Don't do it. I repeat—do not bet on Wisconsin. This might have been a good spot to pick the Badgers, until Kobe King announced he is going to transfer. Then Brad Davison got suspended by the Big Ten for his umpteenth groin tap.

#23 Wichita State at Tulsa, 6 p.m. ET (ESPNU)
Tulsa isn’t a name brand but is better than you think. The Golden Hurricane enter this matchup after a win at UConn and handed Memphis a 40-point loss last week. Frank Haith’s team has lost only once in AAC play. A win over a Top 25 team will go a long way on Tulsa’s NCAA Tournament résumé.
#11 Oregon at Stanford, 6 p.m. ET (Pac-12 Network)
Kansas is the only team that has walked out of Maples Pavilion with a win this season. The Cardinal have exceeded expectations this season, thanks to Oscar de Silva, a 6-foot-9 German forward, who is averaging 16 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.
Oregon’s Payton Pritchard is no stranger to winning on the road. He came up big in clutch moments against Michigan. What Michigan didn’t have is Daejon Davis, the lockdown Stanford defender who is fourth in the Pac-12 in steals. If Davis can stay out of foul trouble, he can slow down the best player in the Pac-12 just enough for Stanford to pull off a monumental upset.
