Suns vs. Lakers: The best player prop bets for Game 6

LeBron James has seen a lot of basketball during his 17-year career, but even he couldn’t bear watching the Phoenix Suns dismantle his Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night.

The four-time MVP retreated into the locker room with five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter as L.A. lost 115-85.

Frankly, it’s hard to blame him. Without Anthony Davis in the lineup, the Lakers fell behind by 30 points at halftime, and shot just 34% from the floor. L.A. also turned the ball over 17 times and gave up 44 points in the paint.

The Lakers have a chance to make amends tonight, but it won’t be easy. Davis' status remains questionable, and head coach Frank Vogel has said that a decision on his availability won't be made until game time. The Lakers could also be without starting shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who is still dealing with the effects of a bruised left knee.

We’ve examined the matchup closely and have selected the three best players props to wager on.

LeBron James to record a double-double

LeBron James has never lost a first-round playoff series in his 18-year career. That doesn’t mean the Lakers won’t bow out to the Suns tonight, but if they do, James will go out with both guns blazing.

The 36-year-old star poured in 24 points, five rebounds, and seven assists in just three quarters in Game 5, and has averaged 34.1 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 7.5 assists in all playoff elimination games since 2006. That’s staggering production, and it speaks volumes about LeBron’s ability to play at a ridiculously high level when his back is against the wall.

Bettors can expect another herculean effort tonight as James attempts to extend the Lakers’ season by another game.

Mikal Bridges Over/Under 1.5 3-point field goals made

Like many young players, Mikal Bridges’ production has been erratic during the postseason. The 24-year-old wing is scoring well below his season average and managed just 12 points combined in Games 2 and 3.

However, the one thing he has been able to do consistently is hit threes. Bridges has nailed at least two 3-pointers in every game of this series, and hit three a piece in each of his last two starts in Los Angeles.

"Noodles" shot a career-high 42.5% from beyond the arc this season, and is a virtual lock to hit two or more of his 3-point field goal attempts tonight as L.A. focuses its defensive efforts on shutting down Chris Paul and Devin Booker.

Andre Drummond Over/Under 0.5 assists

Andre Drummond is many things. He's a world-class rebounder, an All-Star screen setter, and, by all accounts, a phenomenal teammate. One thing he's not, however, is a playmaker.

"Big Penguin" has averaged just 1.4 assists per game over the course of his career and has yet to dish out a single dime in this entire series. In fact, the last time he was credited with an assist was on May 12 against the Houston Rockets.

The Lakers simply don't play through Drummond, and that shouldn't change tonight with every possession taking on added importance. Expect LeBron James to have the ball in his hands for the majority of his time on the court, and for Drummond to stick to doing what he does best: cleaning the glass and bricking free throws.
