Milwaukee Bucks vs. Houston Rockets: The best player prop bets for Dec. 10
Put your hand up if you thought the Houston Rockets would be in the midst of a seven-game winning streak entering tonight’s clash against the Milwaukee Bucks. Anyone? Anyone at all?
The Rockets’ red-hot run isn’t just surprising, it’s historic. No other pro team in North America sports has ever followed up a 15-game losing streak with a seven-game winning streak. Let that sink in for a second.
Unfortunately, getting to eight games won’t be an easy task this evening, as Milwaukee has also been on a nice little roll lately. The Bucks have won eight of their last 10 games and are now third in the tightly-packed Eastern Conference after dealing with a championship hangover to begin the season.
Tip off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET, and have the three best prop bets below.
Giannis Antetokounmpo to record a double-double
Giannis Antetokounmpo has yet to record a triple-double in 2021-22, but we only need him to reach double figures in two categories tonight for this prop to hit, and he’s shown a remarkable knack for doing just that. The two-time MVP is presently averaging 27.0 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 5.7 assists, and has already notched 14 double-doubles this season, the eighth best mark in the league.

Need more convincing? "The Greek Freak" has pulled down 12 rebounds or more in four of his last five games and has averaged 21.4 points and 10.3 rebounds in 16 career games against Houston. The Rockets also rank a distant 20th in opponent rebounds per game, so the opportunities will be there if Giannis continues to remain aggressive. Take the Over and hope that his wonky quad doesn’t limit his minutes and production.
Pick: Yes (-278)
Grayson Allen Over/Under 11.5 points
If you still think of Grayson Allen as a cheapshot artist who specializes in tripping opponents, you clearly haven’t been paying attention. The 26-year-old guard has matured into a deadly spot-up shooter who has supercharged Milwaukee’s halfcourt offense with his ability to spread the court. Allen has started 25 games for the Bucks this season, and is averaging a career high 13.2 points on 44.7% shooting from the floor and 42.0% from deep.

Allen will likely lose some playing time when Donte DiVincenzo returns from injury, but for now he has the greenest of lights to launch from beyond the arc, and has already surpassed this evening’s projected total 14 times this season.
Pick: Over 11.5 points (+100)
Garrison Mathews Over/Under 11.5 points
Never heard of Garrison Mathews? You’re not alone. Undrafted after four years at Lipscomb, the 6’5” shooting guard toiled in obscurity for two seasons in Washington before signing a two-way contract with Houston in October.
The Rockets didn’t originally envision him being a key part of their rotation, but that changed in a hurry in late November when top draft pick Jalen Green went down with a hamstring injury. Since being inserted into the starting lineup on Nov. 27, Mathews has averaged 16.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.2 steals while propelling Houston to a perfect record.
Much like the Rockets, Mathews will eventually come back to earth, but it won’t be tonight.
Pick: Over 11.5 points (-127)
