Hawks vs. Knicks: The best player prop bets for Game 2
Game 1 of the first round series between the New York Knicks and Atlanta Hawks was electric to say the least. It was a back-and-forth contest featuring big shots from multiple players, including the biggest of the first round as Hawks star guard Trae Young drilled a runner with less than a second remaining to earn the victory.
Let’s look at the three best player props bets available as we eagerly anticipate Game 2 on Wednesday night.
Clint Capela Over/Under 14.5 Points
Atlanta's guards took over in Game 1. Trae Young scored 32 points on 23 shots, and Bogdan Bogdanovic added 18 points on 15 shots.
In Game 2, look for the Knicks to apply a bit more on-ball pressure on Young. He is slippery and skilled at drawing fouls from overly aggressive defenders, but if help defenders try and cheat over, it could leave Hawks center Clint Capela open for easy looks. Capela averaged 15.2 points per game this season, and is a high-efficiency scorer with his ability to finish strong at the rim.
As the Knicks look to slow Young down, expect Capela to be the primary beneficiary of that extra attention.
Pick: Over 14.5 points (-103)
Julius Randle Over/Under 25.5 Points
Knicks All-Star Julius Randle had a disappointing Game 1, shooting only 6-23 to finish with 15 points. The fact the Knicks were in such a strong position to win despite Randle’s struggles is an encouraging takeaway for New York.

Randle scored 28 points, 44 points, and 40 points against the Hawks during the regular season, so he clearly matches up well with Atlanta. Expect him to get every opportunity to shine again tonight in what is shaping up to be a must-win game for the Knicks.
Pick: Over 25.5 points (-106)
De’Andre Hunter Over/Under 0.5 3-Point Field Goals Made
De’Andre Hunter had one of the biggest shots in Game 1 as Trae Young dished to him for a monumental 3-pointer. It was Hunter’s first - and only - made three of the game, but he had three other opportunities besides that big shot.

Hunter averaged 4.1 3-point attempts per game during the regular season, and will continue to be given the green light to launch on Wednesday. If the Knicks look to force the ball out of Young’s hands, it might open up Hunter for even more attempts than normal.
In every single game this year in which Hunter attempted at least four threes, he has made at least one. One made three is all it will take to cash this number, so let’s play the Over and hope Hunter gets his normal usage.
Pick: Over 0.5 3-Point Field Goals Made (-225)
