Golden State a top pick for No. 1 NBA Draft pick
Steph Curry’s broken hand and subsequent absence from the NBA could have a silver lining for the Golden State Warriors, with the team now poised to play a starring role in the draft for the first time in years.
BetAmerica has crunched the numbers and assessed the Warriors a +1300 chance of winning the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NBA draft, making them eighth favorite.
“They already own a protected pick up to 20th but we’re confident they’ll be high in the lottery come draft time and have a genuine shot at that coveted No. 1 pick,” said BetAmerica President Ian Williams.
“The Warriors might be down on their luck at the moment but it wouldn’t be surprising to see them start next season as the championship favorite again.”
BetAmerica has the Knicks and Cavaliers as equal +600 favorites to win the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, ahead of the Hornets (+700), Bulls (+700) and Wizards (+700).
