FanEx Sports NBA Daily Fantasy Recap for 2/26/2014

It has been an up and down season for the Cavs and Irving thus far, but they got an impressive win against the Thunder last night.

Wednesday's Player of the Night:

Kyrie Irving - Irving has been a small disappointment from a fantasy perspective.  As a top fantasy option at the PG position, Irving has not been the most consistent this season delivering sub-par performances sprinkled in with dominating performances like last night against the best team in the West, OKC.  The struggling Cavs entered into last night's game as a heavy underdog against the Thunder on their home-court, yet Irving and the Cavs put up 114 points including a 42 point 4th quarter to take down the Thunder despite Durant's near triple-double.  Irving delivered on all levels scoring 31 points, dishing out 9 assists, and grabbing 5 rebounds in a 50 point FanEx night.  Irving went 4-7 from behind the arc and 10-19 in the game with 7 free throws to add to his great night.

Thursday's Top Picks:

• Marcin Gortat - $30.15 - Gortat has taken over the Center duties since Nene went down with a sprained MCL, and Gortat has done a nice job filling in for Nene.  Washington plays a good Toranto team tonight, but I like Gortat to play well against Jonas of the Raptors who has been struggling over the last 2 games.  The center position is very bleak tonight, so look for Gortat to be near the top of the position at the end of the night.
• Randy Foye - $33.68 - With Ty Lawson officially out along with Wilson Chandler, Foye should be a good second guard in most lineups.  He is matched up against Deron Williams of the Nets who has been playing better but still struggles a bit on the defensive end.  Foye's minutes should be there tonight and he should have a good game in prime-time against the Nets.
• Deron Williams - $34.10 - Deron Williams has been playing well as of late and has a decent match-up tonight against the Denver Nuggets who will be short handed again without Ty Lawson at point.  Williams could be a good spot start tonight in some GPP contests assuming he can reach value against a struggling Nuggets squad.
• Carmelo or LeBron - They both go head to head tonight assuming LeBron plays tonight wearing his fitted face mask.  Both players are high priced and have been on riding hot hands, but which player will prevail in this game from a fantasy perspective? I'll leave that one for you all to decide.
