FanEx Sports NBA Daily Fantasy Picks for 3/20/2014
Injuries and late game scratches always seem to have an impact on fantasy rosters, but typically with social media injuries updates can happen right before the rosters lock. However, last night there was a major last minute scratch when the Pelicans tweeted out that Anthony Davis was not going to play against the Raptors. With the kind of stretch that Davis was having and the nice watch-up against the Jonas-less Raptors, Davis was a must start last night. Although most players were not able to remove Davis from their rosters in time, Winners Wednesday was a success and most people managed to win contests despite the 0 from Davis. Additionally, LeBron was also out last night with back spasms, so make sure to follow FanEx Sports on Twitter for the latest injury news and important information regarding FanEx.
Winners Wednesday proved to be yet another battle as players went head to head with their best rosters, and the player who came out on top was Dinacolon with 38 wins! Congratulations to dinacolon for winning all of those contests and congratulations to all the other 26 players who won contests last night! Make sure to play FanEx every Wednesday as this promotion will run in the coming weeks!
Thursday's Top Picks:
Kevin Durant - $57.32 - As the highest priced guy on the slate tonight, and just about every night, Durant could be without his running mate in Russell Westbrook who is a GTD. If Westbrook doesn't play tonight, Durant should get a boost and almost be slotted in everyone's rosters. He still has his 25 or more points per game streak going and he doesn't look to be slowing down anytime soon as the Thunder now are catching the Spurs for the top spot in the West.
Marcin Gortat - $40.76 - Without Aldridge tonight and with the Blazers in a bit of a slump, Gortat looks primed to deliver a double-double and be a solid option at the Center position tonight. With a small slate on Thursday's you want to look for solid consistent value, and Gortat is that reliable option at Center behind Love.
Draymond Green - $19.86 - Green could see a big boost in minutes should O'Neal and Bogut not play again tonight. They both practiced in a light Wednesday shoot-around, but the Bucks shouldn't pose a great threat to the Warriors so Jackson could chose to rest his two big men. Green is a cheap option at the Forward position and will be a nice spot start in contests today.
Reggie Jackson - $32.97 - With Westbrook a GTD, Jackson could return back to his minutes a month ago when Westbrook was out. In Westbrook's absence, Jackson did a nice job filling averaging 22 FanEx points per game during that stretch. Additionally, the Cavs are shorthanded at the guard position with Kyrie, Miles, Dieng, and possibly Waiters out for tonight's game.
Omer Asik - $18.00 - With Dwight Howard sidelined, and possible Pekovic sidelined as well for the Timberwolves, Asik looks primed to put the kind of numbers he delivered last year. Last game with no Howard, Asik delivered a 25 FanEx night against the Utah Jazz. Expect Asik to repeat that performance and build on it going against the Sophmore Center, Gorgui Dieng, who could also be another option at Center tonight.
