FanEx Sports NBA Daily Fantasy Picks for 3/13/2014
It has been a struggle for the Knicks and Carmelo this season, but Carmelo is still a fantasy stud.
Wednesday's Recap:
Last night was WINNERS WEDNESDAY and it was a huge success!
The player with the most winning rosters was phillyphart with 35 winning rosters. Congratulations to phillyphart who is taking home the $50 credit!
The only other player to top the 15 winning roster mark was slammer895 with 28 winning rosters, and due to his great success we are giving slammer895 a $10 credit bonus!
Blake Griffin is just flat out delivering every night he steps out onto the court. He has scored over 20 points in every game since he only scored 19 points against the Pacers on January 19th. While last night it took him 29 shots to get to 30 points, Blake Griffin is truly a fantasy must start almost every time he plays as he has the third highest FanEx point total over the last 7 days. With his running mate Chris Paul catching his stride and the Clippers making a push to get the best seed they can in the West, Blake is primed for a great final month before the playoffs.
While Blake has the third highest FanEx point total over the last 7 days, Carmelo Anthony has the highest FanEx point total over the last 30 days and the third highest over the duration of the season. Last night Carmelo delivered with 47 FanEx points and led the league with 34 points against the Boston Celtics. Carmelo is carrying the weight of the Knicks every night, but the main story line for the Knicks is happening off the court with the recent hiring of Phil Jackson. The Knicks are hoping that Carmelo will stay and forgo free agency now that Jackson is in town, but I don't think that even Jackson can keep Carmelo from jumping ship.
Thursday's NBA Picks:
- Chandler Parsons - $37.58 - With not a lot of options tonight at any position, Parson could be a sleeper that could get you a surprising total. McHale has been giving Parsons decent minutes and Parsons has scored over double digits in his last 5 games. Although the Rockets are playing the Bulls tonight, all the attention will be on Harden and Howard, so if Parsons can knock down some open looks and get into a rhythm I think he could exceed expectations today.
- DeMarre Carroll - $28.00 - Trying to seek value tonight might be a little hard with so few players to chose from, so Carroll may not get you value but he will get you at least 18 FanEx points and possibly more. Playing against the Bucks with the potential of a blowout, Carroll could get some garbage time to rack up more FanEx points. Carroll is the safer play over Mike Scott with more recent upside, but it seems as though every time I say to pick one the other one will go off.
- Pero Antic - $27.64 - With limited Center options other than Howard and Noah, Antic seems to be the must start as he is starting for the Hawks for his second consecutive game. Antic should reach value tonight and at such a low price you will have more salary to spend on Durant and Harden tonight.
- Jodie Meeks - $33.46 - I couldn't resist throwing Jodie into the mix as he dropped 42 on the Thunder last game. While this game is in Oklahoma and the Thunder are seeking revenge, Jodie could still gain some value as long as they don't get blown out by 50 points again. Anyone on the Lakers is a roll of the dice because you never know which Lakers team is going to show up that night; however, I think there is some value out of the cheaper Lakers players like Kelly or Bazemore, but Jodie is the safest play here.

- LAL v OKC at 9:30PM EST
